A nice Meal

We ate at the Standard on a Friday night, and we found the house to be beautiful. The staff from Kevin who greeted us, to Chase, our server, was outstanding. The food was ok. My husbands fillet was perfectly cooked, but not as warm as I would like it. I had just an appetizer of shrimp and grits with tomato... More

Our meal and drinks were interrupted by fruit flies. One person was served wine with bugs floating in her glass. Not worth the cost!

We were treated to a tour of the basement wine cellar with secret panels to hidden rooms after which we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and the old home absolutely beautiful. Very relaxing place for a leisurly delightful meal.

Step back in time and have a wonderful meal in a beautifully restored old home. The wine list is WONDERFUL and very reasonably priced. The dining options are too numerous for one setting so I will have to return and eat some of the options I didn't have room for.

Had the pleasure of attending a rehearsal dinner at The Standard Friday. Old and understated elegance of days gone by. The history of this building holds significance. I believe it is the only remaining original townhouse in the city. It was once an artists residence and my grandmother lived and taught piano there in the late 1930's. I digress. The... More

We have been working our way through the best rated restaurants in Nashville and The Standard is now on my favorite list. Jeff gave us great service.

The mansion is wonderful, atmospheric, and inviting. It feels warm and almost like dining at a friend's home. Many little rooms. Food on my visit was underwhelming, especially dry crab cakes and uninspiring salad. The main of filet mignon was good but also a little uninspired. Cheesecake dessert was a highlight. Wine list is marked up approximately 3-4x which is... More

I took my wife here for dinner a few weeks ago. The restaurant is in a 200 year old home in downtown. Wood floors, table cloths, custom doors and much more makes the setting unique. We both decided on the steak, definitely a great choice. My bone-in ribeye was top notch. Without a doubt the best steak in Nashville.
