Our 2nd trip to the Standard. I really want this to be my favorite restaurant in Nashville because all of the "non food" amenities are here in place. Atmosphere, history, unique location, good service, general ambience. What keeps it from being #1 is, unfortunately, the food. Don't get me wrong--the food is good, just not great. Examples--I got the shrimp... More

Classic dining experience. I was entertaining and that can be stressful as I picked the restaurant based on reviews in trip advisor.Place is like going back in time when service and quality mattered. Quiet and cultured. Wine list was good and service was outstanding. Food was fabulous. While this is a steak house ,party had a filet, the lamb and... More

I loved this place! Free complementary valie parking was helpful being in downtown. The steak, eggs and biscuit plate was amazing. Plenty of food and I got full, cleaned my plate! Had nice outdoor seating and jazz music playing. I would definitely recommend this place. When I visit Nashville again I will go back!

We were there for 2nd time celebrating a birthday. Service outstanding. Food amazing. Venue charming and beautiful. No complaints or even suggestions to improve. Even a well done steak cooked to perfection and that's hard to do. Will go back again and again!

An old school feel of cultured dinner night out. Great menu, quiet and comfortable feel. You'll be pampered, and well cared for. Food is tasty and served like your a celebrity. It has a private club feel that makes the place like home.

A wonderful place for a great date night with my wife. We were greeted immediately by the maitre d. We had a reservation and were seated right then. A server was waiting on us at the table to introduce himself, etc. Great service. Only issue was a female server kept reaching across our plates vs going to the other side... More

Visited The Standard for the first time for a business dinner and was not disappointed. We were taken with the beauty and charm of the building when we walked through the door. Billy greeted us with a warm handshake and a hug. Our group was seated in a cozy room with a fireplace and a huge elk mount on the... More

I love Nashville and have really enjoyed many of the niche and artisan restaurants I have been to. But for a classic steak and charming atmosphere, this is my new favorite spot. Recommended by a friend, I knew nothing about it beforehand. The exterior is beautiful and I knew right away I would be in for an experience. I liked... More

The building is the epitome of charm. The personal greeting by Billy the maitre 'd was very welcoming. The menu definitely has a streak focus and the rib eye and filet were excellent. The fried green tomatoes and crab bisque were delicious starters. It was not that busy for a Saturday night which concerned us. Service was proficient. I think... More

This is the place to go for an impressive date! Excellent wine choices and gourmet menu. The atmosphere is more formal, old world, high society dining. I could see holding wedding parties here, or any type of gathering where you want only the best and to be treated like royalty. My husband ordered the wagyu steak which is pricey but... More
