My husband and I went here while on vacation in Nashville. Ambiance was perfect, service great and food amazing! I had the strip and it was cooked to perfection! My husband had the filet and said the same. Highly recommend for a date night out!

We enjoyed a delectable dinner in this quaint Victorian styled restaurant. The menu was varied as was the wine selection. Service was outstanding. Truly a fine dining experience.

Fantastic ambience, great service, and fabulous food. We both had the house special, which was a beautiful piece of 'melt in your mouth filet', served on a truffle hash cake, with tobacco onions. One of the best meals we have ever had! The prices are not cheap, but this is true 4 star dining. Worth taking the time to visit... More

Located in the Smith House. Dining rooms are cozy and lend themselves to relaxed dining and conversation. Food is excellent, prepared and presented well. Staff is knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. $150 tab for two included before dinner drinks, wine with dinner, and a 20% tip.

If you were not looking for The Standard, it would be easy to overlook the neighborhood. The restaurant itself is beautiful from the moment you see the entrance. Built in the 1840s and formerly used as a boarding house, it is a delight to take a lingering walk through. I enjoyed a starter of green tomatoes and followed with the... More

In January, after leaving 40 below zero Chicago we spent a delightful break in our long trip south at The Standard at the Smith House. We wanted to try something off the beaten path and this 1800's restored Victorian home was just the ticket. We made reservations with Billy, the Maitre'D, who welcomed us warmly and escorted us to one... More

Upon arriving, we were greeted with, "Hello, I am xxxx--what is your name. Come on in. We have a table waiting for you!" The rest of the service was just as friendly with intellegent and honest descriptions of the food (and a full tour of the mansion). The food was very good. The highlight was the fresh, homemade, sourdough french... More

Absolutely amazing food and service in a beautiful atmosphere. The building and decor is fabulous. We wanted our first "fancy" meal out while visiting the USA on our honeymoon. This was perfect. We had the standard filet and the chicken, both cooked and seasoned to perfection. The desserts were also incredible, never had anything quite like the half baked cookie... More

We had a family birthday celebration at the Standard. The venue is magnificent. We had 17 people and all were enchanted with the place. The food was wonderful and the ambience was superb. I highly recommend The Standard for a special occasion.

Through my work I am lucky enough to visit a few nice restaurants every month by taking customers out to dinner. Some are as nice as The Standard, but few are as unique. Pros Free valet parking (they park literally right across the street, but still, it's free). My salmon, and everyone's steaks were outstanding, as were the side dishes.... More
