Got a last minute booking for Flyte. Quite a cavernous interior which might not be everyone's thing, but it works well with the decor. Service was excellent - it was a pretty quiet night, but it seemed that service would have been good even on a busy evening. Food was excellent. Great ingredients and well presented. Nice dining experience and... More

Hip, warehouse atmosphere, but warmly decorated. Our server was a little slow, but her recommendations were excellent. We started with the Chestnut pudding and Squash. Although they sounded a little strange, the Chestnut Pudding was excellent and the Squash was good, but not outstanding. At our servers suggestion, we tried the Oats and Shrooms, which was surprising and very tasty.... More

I saw this place as one of top restaurants in downtown and with all the favorable reviews I decided to check it out. The place has plenty of parking and has a big sign out front. Inside is industrial looking, definitely works for the place. We were seated immediately and handed the menus. They had an extensive wine list with... More

We had been to Flyte in April and thought we would go back as we really enjoyed our meal. When our waitress came over to our table she welcomed us back and mentioned that we had been there in April. We like a restaurant that recognizes their customers it shows they take that extra step in attentiveness. She mentioned that... More

Despite excellent reviews, the restaurant seemed light and not well crafted - either in space, staff, or food. Took us a while to find the place (despite calling for directions). Although not too crowded this weekend night, the kitchen took inordinate time getting dishes to us. Among the specials touted by staff and menu was a steak dish - underspiced... More

I have now eaten at Flyte twice...once in February 2014 and just last week. Of note, there has been a turnover at the Executive Chef level in the interim. However, I honestly thought both experiences were very similar. I will describe dinner at Flyte as such..."very good food that is a bit overpriced and an atmosphere that is very 1999."... More

I usually write about the different items we had, to guide future diners toward or away from dishes, according to their tastes, but this review won't be "useable" for that in a very short time. This is good and bad, in the sense, that it will always be an adventure to dine here, but if something is really well conceived/prepared,... More

I was lucky enough to spend several days with a group of food critics from NY trying all the best restaurants in Nashville . We all unanimously agreed Flyte was the stand-out with its incredible fusion of flavors and wine selection. If you are into each bite of food being an experience, then this is your restaurant.
