Excellence and quality at a price

The prices here are steep, but if you want a place that you can count on, it's a worthy investment. Food The food quality is way above that of any of the other high dollar steak restaurants in Nashville. While you can splurge on aged, Kobe, their basic cut of filet is nothing short of... read more

My husband loves a great steak and is willing to pay for it-- but $70 for an OK steak-- not so happy to do so! The toppings would have been $14 more and if I had shared with him, another $10. (I got the oysters rockefeller and a salad which were nothing special). The drinks were also high. We much... More

$80 bone in steak was something I could have ordered at Applebee's! Staff was good but the food is not impressive. Should have known, because we were the only people at the restaurant the entire night!!

I had waited years to eat here and we finally did and I was not impressed at all. I don't care how they try to sell you on it the "fancy" style of cooking the steaks made it dry with no flavor. The prices are ridiculous and the odor in the restaurant is strange and very unappealing and there were... More

Bad Reviews can be misleading. In the Stockyards case, I have nothing but GOOD things to say! First off, the history of the building is written on the walls and is proudly showcased, "the oldest bottle of wine", the chandelier, and even the pink marble to the cherry wood. Secondly. the delightful staff. Never have I been to a restaurant... More

I think whomever told me about this place might have talked it up a little too much. The steak was too charred, the Mac & cheese was bland , the iced tea was watered down, the prices were too high. Ruths Chris beats Stick yard hands down! Over all I enjoyed being out but the food is nothing to write... More

TLDR: We would have gotten more enjoyment out of burning the cash equivalent of our meal in a campfire. McDonalds has better beef and service. Service: Overall, very poor. Multiple stages of our order were wrong. Wrong drinks, wrong salad, very wrong entree, wrong desert. Appetizer was correct, though. Even when we pointed out the errors to the wait staff,... More

We have visited the Stockyard several times. We have even had two corporate Christmas parties there. We went tonight and it was horrible. I NEVER give bad reviews. My husband and I look for fine dining wherever we travel. We are used to paying $$$$ for a night out, so we aren't expecting a great meal without paying for it.... More

In defense of this restaurant, it was Valentine's Day, and there was a special menu... This restaurant is its own worst enemy. It looks, feels, and prices itself like a high-end restaurant, but it misses the mark in almost every way. The building is beautiful. The hostess staff are very welcoming and friendly. The waiters are pleasant. The problems really... More

A group of 18 of us went there for a business dinner. The waitstaff was very informative and educated us on the history of the place. Drinks were great. We ordered 4 of the seafood appetizer samplers that had seared ahi tuna, jumbo shrimp cocktail, lump crab cakes, and steamed and fried lobster tails. It was delicious. I had the... More
