Exceptional service, very good steak but extremely high prices

I liked our experience, but it took a couple of days to get over our $240 dinner bill for just the 2 of us. The place is gorgeous - LOTS of history and beautiful brick. They have a bottle of wine on display that is from 1776!!!! The staff was exceptional, attentive and knowledgeable. Our waiter... read more

We had shuttle service from the hotel and it was a recommendation of the concierge we go there. The service was impeccable ~ it was a very relaxed dinner and evening ~ and the food was very good. Bit compared to other fine restaurants I've been too I wouldn't say it was worth the $$$$. Figure on an easy $100... More

You've got to try it at least once. The lobster tail was so succulent and huge I could not eat both at once. I will be back.

Had chance to take my daughter to Stockyard b/4 a concert. We were initially told it was closed but decided to go anyway. She loved it. Had lobster and a bottle of champagne. It was sort of a special time since we don't get together that often since she has "grown up" The server was excellent, however our food was... More

Closed supposedly for renovation. After finding the place it did not look like it was being renovated. it looked very closed to me with overgrown shrubs and weeds all around the outside.

By far the worst meal I've ever had. I can't believe how far down this place has went. Fried loster was so over cooked that we couldnt eat it. The $69 "prime" porterhouse tasted like it came from a cheap supermarket ...Only worse. Place was hot and smelled of mildew. Service was awful also. Avoid this place at all cost!!

Food was excellent, but I was glad I wasn't paying the bill. Best part was the actual building. Lots of history, and you could walk around and explore on your own. Lovely evening with really good food. Shuttle provided to/from hotel, which was nice for our large group.

Took two new clients here for dinner, at their request. Although service was impeccable, the food was mediocre at best, especially for the price. Wine was very good. Waiter was overly talkative, felt like he was showing off and trying to do upsell on steaks, wine, and desert. My clients thanked me for taking them, but said we need to... More

I recently ate at the Stock-Yard with 2 other couples. It wasn't my choice to eat there as I had noted it only rated 3 stars with some very mediocre reviews and very high prices. But, I went with the majority in our group. Immediately upon entering the restaurant there was an odd smell. My husband says it was coming... More

Our first night out with friends in Nashville, they organized a private room for us at the Stock-Yard...an historical building with an interesting story. Convenient complimentary shuttle collected us from our hotel and dropped us back many glasses of wine and full of good food later! A carnivores delight! Delicious appetizers, soups, salads, the usual...but the choice of meats and... More
