Not a premium steak restaurant. Their 'premium' dried aged tomahawk ribeye at $89 was less than 3/4 inch thick at medium rare. About 20oz. The so called tomahawk was a separate skinny cleaned bone placed along side a pretty normal looking ribeye, except it was more sinewy than normal. Almost a joke. My bad for not taking a photo. On... Great Steak, but the waiter, Stephen, packed an empty container in our leftover bag. Kind of sketchy. When we called the next day the Assistant Manager offered a "trinket" as a remedy.

First of all it is interesting to note that the website does not post the prices of the food. You will definitely have sticker shock after reading the prices on the menu. My husband was underwhelmed with his $89.00 Tomahawk steak. I ordered the chicken-seafood that was $39.00 for chicken filets with lump crab meat. A side of green beans... More

We had been told by others who had visited in the past how good the food was. The restaurant is located in an historic building with neat country music memorabilia and that is the highlight of the visit. The waiter did a good job of selling the kobe beef but it was no better than a steak from a chain... More

The steaks we ordered were edible, but when you pay $69.00 for a single steak, I'm expecting the experience-of-a-lifetime, which was NOT the case. We could have had the same quality steak at one of the "lesser" chain steakhouses (Saltgrass, Texas Land and Cattle, etc) and paid far less. I was seriously disappointed. The steak my wife ordered looked to... More

If you are in the mood for a top notch steak, this is not the place. If you are in the mood for vintage Nashville, this place is spot on! My steak was over-cooked (ordered medium-rare, this is a steak place, should be able to cook to medium-rare without making it medium-well). Waiter never checked to make sure the meat... More

I have often thought of myself as a well seasoned restauranteur and pride myself on my delicate palate. In Nashville, I often visit small privately owned restaurants, up and coming restaurants, soul food restaurants and certainly your gourmet hot dog stands, but I haven't broached a restaurant quite like the Stock-Yard in about a year. Last week a friend of... More

Every year I travel with a group of friends and every year we pick one steakhouse to try. We had heard some good things about the Stockyard and we thought we would give it a try. To be honest with you, I found it to be overrated. It was a Saturday night and hardly anyone was there - although we... More

We dined late and hopefully this played a factor in the quality of our food. Lobster/crab bisque tasted like a salty version of a can of progresso. If we had used a strainer, we would have found no sustenance to the soup. It was more like a lobster broth. Salad was nearly as bad. Wilted greens, packaged blue cheese, delicious vinegrette.... More

Went to the Stockyard Monday evening because it was recommended by my husband whom was there on business with a group of 50 people and said how great is was. Between the two of us, our bill was $360.00!!! I had the American-Kobe Cowboy Rib Eye and my husband had the dry aged rib eye. We were anxious to compare... More
