Fairly priced for location

During our visit to see the Christmas lights and sights at Gaylord Opryland Hotel we had dinner here. The restaurant is about what one would expect at a 5 star hotel, but it is true to form for what it offers. From dinners to sandwiches we have never had a bad meal here.

We dined with a large party at old hickory one year prior and had an amazing experience. Our second visit could be nothing less than described as horrific, horrible, and not worth anything! Although the restaurant was almost completely empty on a Saturday evening at 8 PM during a large convention, we waited over 30 minutes to even be recognized... More

My husband and I had a bright idea to go out on Saturday night for date night. Around nashville everything is busy but we decided to go to Opry Land where they have multiple restaurants throughout thier property. Glad we did I ended up getting the lobster tails with truffle grits ...Wow the grits were better then the lobster and... More

My wife and I ate here last night. We had a reservation and were seated after a short wait. Our servers were Tony and Emeel, who seemed to be the only servers in the restaurant. Emeel kept us from feeling neglected. My wife's wine and my martini were warm. Did not ask for seconds. I ordered lobster tails, which were... More

Our server was Wayne, and I wish I could give him more than 5 stars - he's fantastic! He definitely added in a positive way to our great experience here. And just because it's a steakhouse, don't worry about ordering the salmon. They import it from Scotland, and it was very fresh and prepared perfectly. The ambience is great, as... More

A colleague and I had dinner at the Old Hickory Steakhouse. It was very nice, with great food and attentive wait staff. The server was a mature gentleman, who was great with recommendations, as well as being an outstanding server. My colleague and I each ordered the filet, which was very tender and tasty. We each ordered a side (they're... More

All dishes were well prepared and savory. Service was excellent. As we expected, prices were high. Steaks were exceptional and seafood was superbly done.

The ambiance of the terrace with the water fountain, then overlooking the greenery and large water fountain in the distance was wonderful. The food was great, the best steak I've had (and I've had some great ones). And the largest lamb shank I've ever seen. Flavorful side dishes as well.

I reserved a table online and had just put in the notes we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary dinner. Not thinking more of it we got there and everyone would say Happy 10 year anniversary. We were seated and taken care of right away - they even put a rose at our table. We both ordered the braised lamb... More
