My husband and I stayed at Gaylord hotel on our honeymoon and also at Christmas last year. Each time we had reservations for Old Hickory and loved it each time. I have been going there for several years before we got married and always had a wonderful experience. This year changed all that and we promised each other we will... More

The chef prepares a very unconventional crab cake that is pure flavor and texture. Will make a point to come back just for these!

We settled down to table in the atrium which allowed us to enjoy the peaceful sounds of nearby waterfalls and enjoy the Christmas decorations. The staff, we had 5, were superb. The wine list is great and allows one to go all out or settle down to a great price conscious bottle that match your meal exquisitely. Soups, the Lobster... More

We had a great time. Wayne, our waiter was amazing. I worked in the restaurant business for 10+ years and in establishments like this one- let me tell you, he was the best. Our food was great and while it is definitely expensive, the service, quality of food, an atmosphere was definitely worth every penny.

We had dinner , very ,very attentive staff. The food was good but not memorable. The lighting to read the menu was a torch .We did finally get the menus that light up. The ambience was good as we had a table in the atrium. The price of the meal for me was expensive .I am happy to pay out... More

If you have no reservation they will ask you to take a seat in the bar, explaining full menu is available. Service is practically nonexistent there. Unless you have a party of 4 or more, expect to be ignored. I guess bartenders are pandering to larger tips. Incredibly overpriced for what you get. Steak is ok, nothing special. Desserts are... better than the other venues at this hotel. Average, nothing memorable. Expect to pay ~$100 USD per person including tip.

We had a business dinner at this restaurant. Very elegant! The food was wonderful! I had salmon and it was cooked to perfection. This hotel is big and this restaurant is a building inside the hotel. We were on a second or third floor so the view was spectacular! There was another business dinner on the other side of the... More

A wonderful place to eat. Sitting out on the patio in candlelight and listening to the waterfalls is wonderful! My server Tim, was very attentive and friendly. I was delighted with the wine and the lobster I had for dinner. It would be a GREAT place for a romantic dinner.

Definitely a "must do" if you're staying on the Gaylord Opryland's premises. The steaks were exquisite, the atmosphere "classy", and the service perfect. It's a little "pricey", but it's great steak in a resort restaurant, so you would expect to pay a bit more. It's worth it. So, treat yourself and enjoy a great steak in a great setting with... More
