My sister & I stopped here because we saw it on Guy Fieri's show, Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. It's a Dive! He raved about the food but it honestly wasn't anything to write home about! Their bbq sauces are really nothing but spicy hot and that's it. No real smoky bbq flavor to it. Tasted more vinegary. The slaw was... More

went here based on a episode of Best Thing I've ever Ate. While it is not much of a building, you have to wash your hands at the McDonalds next door. I got the pulled turkey bbq sandwich with white bbq sauce on an onion roll and it was very good, wish the bun was a little softer and it... More

Last Saturday early evening, my wife and I Drove 7.7 Miles to get to Hog Heaven to carry out from there for the first time and was disappointed. Ordered the 1/2 chicken and beef brisket and both were dry as a bone. Even the sauce didn't help. My wife was upset too because she was really looking forward to some... More

Outstanding pork barbecue sandwich but there were other menu items available with extensive list of sides. Excellent!

It's no Jacks or Arnold's, but hog heaven is decent BBQ and southern food and its usually less crowded than the competitors. The pulled pork is my favorite. It's not a place I would hang out, but it's perfect for take out or a picnic in the park. Hint: check out the scoutmob app-one every few months they offer free... More

It's so close to the Parthenon and Centennial park, that you really should just eat lunch here. It may not be the best BBQ shack in TN, but it seems quite authentic, and much better than heading over to McDonalds. The while BBQ is unique. You should try that. Sitting at the picnic table after our Parthenon visit seemed about... More

Had a great lunch here. I had the pulled turkey with white sauce.....SO good! Don't be scared since this is basically a restaurant in a shack. It is delicious! There isn't any indoor seating but there are some picnic tables that are in a covered area. Centennial Park is right across from it, so on a nice day I would... More

A Nashville native told us about this place. Looks very shabby from the outside but the line told us the food must be good so we joined the line. Very glad we did. We both had the pulled pork platter. Very tender and spicy even though we had the mild sauce. The bar next door is the last jute joint... More
