don't be put off by the look of the place!

we have had this place on our list for a while, but have never had the time to find it. once we knew where it was, we had to wait for a day & time that would not involve a long wait for the food or seats at 1 of the 2 tables inside the fenced-in overhang. this place is... read more

Used to eat here as a student 20 years ago. It was good then, it's good now. The guys were friendly then, they're friendly now. Not fancy, not perfect, but pretty good. I like the ambience. Some don't. I look forward to coming again in 10 to 20 years and hope it will be the same.

Had all the things that attract me to a place to try....off the beaten path, decent reviews (enough), and the words BBQ. Sadly, I cannot endorse you trying it. Ordered two "plates" --- pulled pork and pulled turkey. Check out my pics because this looked liked (and tasted like) a handful of boiled meat with two sides. The sides were... More

Stopped there after a visit to the Parthenon. By the looks of it, I wasn't sure what to expect but my wife reassured me due to the reviews she had seen on here. It wasn't bad, but not the best barbecue I've had. I tried both the pulled pork sandwich and a brisket plate. Both were a bit dry, even... More

This place is small, but had decent food. The brisket is spicy (even with the mild sauce), the quarter chicken was better. Good mac-n-cheese and potato salad. Greens served with vinegar added a bit of something unique. Cornbread served pancake style. Baked beans are pretty smoky and not sweet-would not recommend. Also, everything comes with a mound of pickles on... More

I had the ribs with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The Potatoes and mac n cheese were excellent but the ribs were very disappointing. My husband had the pulled pork wish better then the ribs but still not amazing.

Behind the McDonald's on West End Drive near Centenial Park. Great service, friendly staff, picnic tables so you can eat on the premises. Reasonable price.

Try the turkey, you won't be disappointed. Locals love this little spot, it is a real winner! You can sit at little benches outside, or take out to eat in the park on a sunny day. Prices are good and there is some cute piggy merchandise on offer too.

We were running to the Parthenon-Nashville when we passed this and we immediately smelled the delicious smokiness and said we'll be back for that after our run! It was so good we went again the next day! First day I had the brisket & second day the pork. I also tried their special mayonnaise base bbq sauce and I loved... More

Chose this because it was listed on the food network website. Glad we did. Really good bbq - only downside was not enough sauce and we took to go. Well worth the visit though.
