Quick lunch

After a quick tour of the Parthenon we found Hog Heaven. Food was tasty, large portions and fast service! Nothing like the little, local, hole in the wall type place. Highly recommend! Don't miss the white BBQ sauce.

Went here with my friends. It is located on the corner of centennial park. I had the veggie platter which was great. My friends had the beef and pork platters and loved them. Nice little dive to check out.

My colleague from Nashville told us to be sure to eat here. It's a real hole in the wall which would be fine if the food was anything special. Being from Houston, I'm used to really good barbecue. I'd call this ordinary.

First of all, I love Hog Heaven- it's the best and most real BBQ in Tennessee. And I've had them all. The RIBS here are the best- I always order a pound. The folks taking your order are real nice. The white sauce is the best anywhere. It's tangy and is so much better than regular BBQ sauce, although I'm... More

Happened to smell the woodsmoke driving by while at Centennial Park. Basic, good southern-style BBQ. For those put off by the looks of the place, keep going. Anyone into BBQ knows that some of the best comes out of the little dives. Got the pulled pork with mac and cheese and slaw. Wish I had tried the white sauce while... More

Heard of hog heaven from the TV show on the food channel. I'm not big on BBQ but went with some friends. I have to say it was very good some items a little pricey I would differently come back

Used to eat here as a student 20 years ago. It was good then, it's good now. The guys were friendly then, they're friendly now. Not fancy, not perfect, but pretty good. I like the ambience. Some don't. I look forward to coming again in 10 to 20 years and hope it will be the same.

Had all the things that attract me to a place to try....off the beaten path, decent reviews (enough), and the words BBQ. Sadly, I cannot endorse you trying it. Ordered two "plates" --- pulled pork and pulled turkey. Check out my pics because this looked liked (and tasted like) a handful of boiled meat with two sides. The sides were... More

Stopped there after a visit to the Parthenon. By the looks of it, I wasn't sure what to expect but my wife reassured me due to the reviews she had seen on here. It wasn't bad, but not the best barbecue I've had. I tried both the pulled pork sandwich and a brisket plate. Both were a bit dry, even... More

This place is small, but had decent food. The brisket is spicy (even with the mild sauce), the quarter chicken was better. Good mac-n-cheese and potato salad. Greens served with vinegar added a bit of something unique. Cornbread served pancake style. Baked beans are pretty smoky and not sweet-would not recommend. Also, everything comes with a mound of pickles on... More
