Perfect little weeknight find

When my boyfriend and I decided to have a spur of the moment date night a few days before New Year's Eve, we were hard pressed to find a table without a two hour or more wait. We stumbled upon Blackstone Restaurant and Brewery and were thrilled to get a table. The food is excellent! I have... read more

The hostess had only been working there for three days, and knew less about the restaurant than we did. The interior is divided into several areas, dark, sports on tv, black-painted exposed mechanicals in most of them, sun coming through the fancy windows. We had numerous visits from servers, whether or not we'd placed, received, finished our orders. This is... More

Nice place to start your pub hop. I enjoyed their nut brown ale the best, it was sweet and smooth. I had the fish and chips and the fish was amazing. Not to much breading and the fish was super thick and flaky. There was a nice little sitting area off to the back of the pub that had a... More

Totally avoid this place unless all you want is a beer. We had three entrees, difficult to determine which was worst. Fried fish was awful greasy glob of dough. Shrimp and grits was a few shrimp over clay like mass of something. Chicken dish cannot be described other than over cooked and floating in greasy vegetables. Additionally the place is... More

We ate there on a Sunday evening and it was virtually empty. Interior and tables are worn but atmosphere very typical for Brewhouse/sports bar. I had fish and chips which were good but very heavily battered. My wife had wood fired pizza which was good but crust was more like flatbread. The craft beers were good. Good but not on... More

Nice inside with a good menu and adult beverage options. Also has TVs in case you want to catch a ballgame without the sports bar feel.

Blackstone is a popular restaurant on West End near Vanderbilt University. The menu has salad, sandwich, entree, and pizza options to pair with the many beer choices. Food and drinks are served by attentive wait staff who are eager to turn the tables over...so eat and drink up! Tonight I ordered a common salad served around the country - mixed... More

We went late night on Monday.. Our waitress was very friendly. The food was fresh and soo delicious. They brew their own beer which we enjoyed so much we got some for home. Must try the thai salad and baby ribs.

Fish and chips were outstanding. Solid selection and variety of ales. Hop Jack and Nut Brown Ale were well received by our group. Loved the experience. Service was good as well!

We were pretty hungry after touring the Parthenon and walking the grounds, so Blackstone was fairly close and we decided to try it. I can highly recommend the steak salad and the Greek pizza. Both were delicious.
