Description: Our latest Nashville scoop shop opened in September, 2013 in the 12 South neighborhood and is next to Josephine, a new cafe by Miranda Whitcomb Pontes, who serves Jeni's ice creams in her nearby Burger Up pub. Other Music City favorites in the area include 12 South Taproom & Grill, Katy K Designs, and denim purveyor Imogene + Willie. 12 South epitomizes what we love in a neighborhood: action. 12 South, a lively, super-cool area, includes some of the best options for enjoying yourself in Nashville.

There was a line out the door but the wait was worth it. And it moved reasonably fast. They offer regular and more "fancy" flavors of ice cream. I liked their ice cream better than Mike's downtown. It tasted richer and more smooth. I had goat cheese with red cherries flavor. Delicious. My daughter had mint. They do have pints... More

The line is worth it. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but this really is some of the best ice cream I have ever had. My favorite so far is the Goat Cheese with Red Cherries. Treat yourself!

Decided to try Jeni's on my trip to Nashville thanks to Tripadvisor reviews. I am so glad I did. There was a line to get in but it moved fast. I had the Riesling Pached Pear sorbet and the Cantaloupe Sun Tea sorbet and they were both amazing. My boyfriend got the Wildberry Lavender and the Brambleberry Crisp and he... More

If you want to try ice cream that is different than your normal chocolate and vanilla, Jeni's is the place. My husband and I went on a rainy evening and there was a very short line, yet the place was full. We ordered the Brown Butter Almond Brittle and the Roasted Strawberry Buttermilk, so yummy. Definitely worth your time and... More

$5 for two very small scoops is a little high. On the positive side, the flavors are unique and quite tasty. I see this as more of a "splurge" treat than an everyday endeavor. However, this is certainly popular given the long line that ran outside the door and down the street.

Yum! Jeni's serves delicious ice cream! I'm not a huge ice cream fan normally, but this was amazing. It tasted like they had just sliced the peaches into the ice cream or roasted the nuts an hour earlier. Can't wait to return on my next trip to town!

Some of the craziest sounding ice creams flavors, but also some normal flavors, very quick and friendly staff, and you can try it before you buy it. Not too expensive considering the quality. Don't let the line out the door, keep you from waiting...it'll be worth it.

Jeni's has a delightful array of very unusual ice cream flavors. It's fun to taste the different flavors--but it's that delight that adds to how long the line of people is--out the door. And, the staff are very kind. The variety of flavor choices are a bit daunting. You may find it difficult to choose.

Sweet cream biscuits with peach jam, lavender wild berry, sweet caramel, black coffee, brambleberry crisp. Don’t worry, you’ll have time to decide what flavor you want because there’s gonna be a line. So hurry up and go!
