An Easy Taste of Southern Cook'n.

I hate waiting in cafeteria lines, but this was worth it. Small place with about 5 entree choices that change for each day of the week. Side choices also change daily. Had the chicken livers and rice with mustard greens and green beans. Liver done perfectly (most overcook them) over a bed of... read more

They weren't even supposed to be open but so many people called to ask if they'd be open that they did. The place is small but so worth it. Don't let the line outside intimidate you either. It's a good sign when so many people are waiting. It's basically choose meat choose your sides. I had the brisket and it... More

Delicious homemade food-cafeteria style. Not a long wait and they are very friendly here-and don't worry about a table, people move in and out of here quick! Would go back!

The meat plus three is a great deal. You can check the menu online to see what will be available on the day you plan to go (they are only open Monday through Friday). The line may be long, but it moves decent (can take 25 minutes) but worth the wait. If they have peach pie available, get some because... More

We were blown away to see the line of people out the door. Once we started eating, I knew why! You want home cooked, come on in! Just home cooking. There were a couple of things my mother made that I didn't care for. I'm assuming the number of terrible reviews were from people who's mother made these items and... More

You know the food is good when people are lined up outside the door for about 30 feet and it's only 11:30 am! Arnolds is certainly not fancy. It looks like a dive when you finally get in the door! However the staff is warm, friendly and all smiles ! You see a real cross section of people in Arnolds... More

I'm a DC native transplanted to Nashville. A dear childhood friend who I hadn't seen for decades got in touch because he was planning his annual visit to Music City USA with a group of vegan friends. So, as I went through my mental Rolodex of Nashville exclusives, Arnold's was the choice. As we stood in the line that exists... More

I read about Arnold's all the time and even see it on national TV shows. However, I was very disappointed. MIddle Tennessee is full of equal or better meat and 3s.

The roast beef was amazing, the fried green tomatoes sour and gooey, the mac n cheese was cheesy and the sweet tea was some of the finest we had. Fun to experience a Meat and 3 in the heart of Nashville.

Be warned. You will set the bar high with Arnold's and may find yourself having a difficult time finding better food on your journey. You can't find better country cooking than this. I had the fried chicken livers, mac and cheese, green beans, rolls, banana pudding, and sweet tea. The line out the door when you arrive is definitely an... More
