Only open 10:30-2, a must-do in Nash!

Incredible hospitality, delicious home cooked deliciousness and a true family-style way to enjoy a meal. This restaurant is a MUST DO when in Nashville. With new items on the menu everyday it's easy to keep coming back for more. I absolutely loved their green beans and Drew LOVED the candied yams... read more

This place gets lots of attention and local love, but the food is just okay. I grew up eating Southern from a Arkansas dad, but a lot of this was mediocre. Also added up kind of quick too!

Listed by Southern Living in Top10 restaurants in Nashville. Went with 2 friends but probably will not go there again. Only open for lunch--cafeteria line was very long. Each day has choice of 3 meats with 2 or 3 sides. Very crowded with far too little seating and extremely noisy. Tables were end to end with a few tables on... More

You cannot go wrong with anything here. Guy Fieri brought me here with his visit while I was watching an episode. I got the catfish green beans mac and cheese and collards. The collards were INCREDIBLE. spicy and yummy and I could eat a whole pot! If I'm ever back in Nashville I will definitely visit!!

I loved the mix of people at this place! Locals, tourists, students, business people, families, you name it. You wait on a long line although it moves pretty fast, grab a tray and are served cafeteria style. You pick you main course and 2 or 3 sides. The selection varies each day of the week. I enjoyed the roast beef... More

Arnold's is only open a few hours each day and with how good it is I'm guessing it's always busy. When we arrived it was lined up out the door and there were probably 50 people ahead of us in line. It moved quickly though and we probably had our food within 20 minutes. Everything we had was fantastic. Great... More

It was so good! The chess pie was the best!! I got the roast beef and all the fixins. My only xomplaint was the mac & chz was a little too salty, but otherwise really good! Worth checking out.

Whenever I travel to a city I've already been to I like to avoid going back to the same restaurants. Arnold's is one of very few exceptions I've made. To put it simply, the food is amazing. This is a no frills place, but the food is so good, that it doesn't even matter. I recommend double checking the hours... More

Unpretentious spot with mouth-watering southern food served up by super-friendly staff. And Arnold's turnip greens may be one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Food was delicious, cooked well and packed with a lot of flavor, all for very reasonable prices (expect to pay between $10-15) and for what felt as very representative of Nashville's cuisine. I ordered the roast beef with mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and turnip greens with some cornbread, and there was not a weak part of the meal. Please... More
