The food here is outstanding. As some others have stated, the inside is a little cramped. It reminds me of a furniture store in the Chattanooga that always advertised "buy the furniture not the building". If you are looking for slick and fancy this is not for you. Arnold's provides super excellent meat and three for about $10.00. I had... More

On a recent "Girl's Weekend" trip to Nashville my daughter wanted to take us to Arnold's. I have to admit I didn't want to go because it was a cafeteria and I had just gotten off of a miserable plane ride from Houston. Then when we got there and the line was out the door and down the driveway I... More

Wanted to try their food after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Very disappointed with their hours of operation. Not open for dinner. :(

I heard about Arnold's on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-in, and a Dives and had to check it out. It is a diner style intimate restaurant. The food is good and the dessert is fantastic. I got the fried chicken, greens, and macaroni and cheese. My mother got the liver and onions, greens, and macaroni and cheese. We enjoyed... More

The chicken and dumplings are amazing! The perfect amount of zip from the black pepper. The macaroni and cheese...mmm...words can't express...soooo tasty.

The owner Rose Arnold actually met us in the parking lot! Ok, she was directly traffic in her crammed parking lot, a testament to how busy the place is (and what looks like an add-on in the works), but we had a nice chat. It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between me and Arnold's forks. We were treated... More

Food was wonderful, home cooking. Kids weren't fans of the mac n cheese, but adults liked it. Atmosphere was fun. Got to eat with a cop from Detriot. Highly recommend.

People line out the door to get into this Nashville "original." You can get a "meat" and up to three sides plus dessert! Space is limited but the food is delicious. I had the catfish, macaroni and cheese and green beans and a piece of Chess pie. All were fantastic.

Just ok food. Everything was on the salty side. Surprised at the inside as it was wait in line to get what you want and then sit whereever at mostly long tables. The tables weren't bused quickly so there were dirty trays & dishes on lots of tables. We went about 2pm so there was a short line but while... More

We ate here for the first time with our two girls, ages 8 and 11. We knew the restaurant was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives but it also is a James Beard award winner. We arrived around noon and there was a line to get in. It took about 20 minutes to get through the line but it moved pretty... More
