This little out of the way place was recommended by the bartender at Hotel Preston. We love breakfast and prefer to eat a local places instead of chain restaurants. The Hermitage is now at the top of our list for breakfast. The waitresses and cook are very friendly and like to cut up with you. They have a vey unique... More

We were in Nashville for a convention, and arrived late. Hermitage Café was open from 10pm to 1am, which served our needs perfectly. We arrived with a group of about 30 and we filled every seat in the place. The prices were great. The menu offers the standard breakfast choices and burgers options. The menu is posted on the walls,... More

Don't judge a book by its cover, but turn the page and enjoy. That's what I did after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor and I don't regret stopping and getting a good meal, being treated like family, talking to complete strangers who seemed as old friends, and laughing a lot. Learned a lot about the history of the Heritage... More

While we were staying in a hotel nearby, we passed by here on the way to our conference. Stopped in for lunch and it was very nice. Great service and excellent food.

Hermitage Cafe serves breakfast all day, and lunch. The hours are bit odd, but whatever works. The wait staff had my wife and I busting at the seems with laughter the entire time. All I can say comfort food at it's best. Definitely one of many Nashville's small gems of great mom and pop places. Give it a try food... More

Old - time home style diner just within blocks of downtown Nashville. No frills, just great food and everybody is family. Love it.

Wow - after a long and very early flight from Boston, Ma we found this place for breakfast. The most friendly service I have experienced in a long time. Breakfast made to order - good portions and very reasonably priced. It was nice to see where the locals go.

We passed this on the way back and forth from Downtown to our hotel several times and decided to eat there Easter Morning...... It was great! The fried bologna I had harden my arteries as I ate, but who cares??? The biscuits were the best I have ever put in my mouth....and I've eaten a bunch!

We ordered a patty-melt and a fried baloney sandwich. Both were fantastic. Service was great and made you feel at home. Hours are from 10 pm to 2pm.

If you are a fan of diners this is your place. Breakfast is a busy time here and you might have to wait a bit, but it is worth it. The cook staff are experienced and turn out the orders promptly. Service was a bit slow this morning because only one waitress was working the whole place. Food is very... More
