My daughter and I visited on Tuesday, March 18th, right around 5pm. Before heading to the Grand Ole Opry. The GPS did its job and we found the Gerst Haus after a short trip around the block. The parking lot was fairly full and there were quite a few people in the restaurant. We were greeted right away and seated.... More

We ended up here by accident and enjoyed our food. We got sandwiches and beers and while it took a little time to actually place our orders, once we did there was no delay in getting served. We would eat there again.l

My husband and I get tired of the same places to eat. We decided to try something different, so we went to the Gerst Haus Restaurant in Nashville, Tn. They had an Oompah band playing and it was awesome!!! I never heard of this type music or singing but it was really neat. If you have never heard yodeling, this... More

We enjoyed a Friday evening dinner with friends. I had the goulash which was wonderful. Ambiance and decor could use some sprucing up and I don't like seeing the kitchen when I am dining. I can see that at home. Service was very good.

If you like German food, when in Nashville, this is the place to go. Good atmosphere, like a beer hall (was larger than I expected), great service and even better food. You will go away happy and probably take a doggy bag with you as the portions are large. I had a combination plate with three of their specialties and... More

When I called to make my reservation for 11, the person I spoke to said that he would put us in the bar area so that we'd be far away from the band and would be able to talk. Too bad we were seated as close to the band as possible without being in their laps. But the food was... More

We went to Gerst Haus last night. The ample portions of food were accompanied by a fun German Music Band with alpenhorn. Great fun evening with German flair

I love the red cabbage. Go on Friday or Saturday night when the polka bands and playing and watch (or participate in) the chicken dance. Oh and no visit is complete without a Gerst beer in a "fishbowl".

Went to Gerst Haus a few years ago when I was in Nashville on vacation. Now that I am in the area I have been wanting to go back. The Food was just as a remembered, Very good. I enjoyed the whole meal. The beer was tasty and cold. The feel of the place is an old tavern.
