I was working in Nashville and Bro's came highly recommended. Having dined in Nawlins I was somewhat familiar of what to expect. I ordered the sampler. The first to come out was the gumbo. Be careful because this was a meal in itself! Then the slaw came out. It was sweet and creamy. Then the platter came out, it was... More

We stopped here because it was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. I guess we should have read other reviews about this place before we went here because all other reviewers said the same thing-- The food is excellent but the service is poor. The waitress met us at out table, took our drink orders, brought our drinks and... More

This was an improvement over our first visit a couple of years ago, mainly because this time we actually got something to eat. If you can find the main door to this place you walk into a steam table area with what look like fast food booths; to the left is a little room with a few more tables, past... More

Food wasn't very good! Staff was rude in the beginning. We arrived at the time the restaurant was supposed to open via the we site and we were yelled at stating they didnt open for another hour. We also didnt know which side was the entrance because there wasn't a sign. However, we waited an hour came back and the... More

The frog legs are amazing and they really capture the flavors of the bayou. Great for date nights if you want to get away from the franchises and support a small business. Don't be fooled by this book's cover, it's worth a trip.

When traveling - you need to experience everything. We were in Nashville and wanted to try Cajun Cuisine and had seen this place featured on D/D/D - Food Network. It certainly is in the dive category of D/D/D but the food was delicious and we sat and visited with owner Darrel. I had the Shrimp PoBoy and it was delicious.... More

We had lunch on 10/9/2013 at Bro's Cajun Cuisine at 3214 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN after seeing "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". The restaurant is in a converted house right next to an expressway. Look for the boat in the front! Food was terrific! I had the $10.95 shrimp Po-Boy with lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles on a hoagie roll... More

This place is definitely in the “Dive” category of Triple “D”. An old building with rambling rooms of old tables and chairs. The appearance does not give a sense of sanitation, but that doesn’t really bother me; it just makes me wonder how a place like this cannot be flagged by a health inspector of fire inspector for that matter.... Bro's features a full menu of Cajun classics. I chose the crawfish etouffe, and was not disappointed. The serving was generous and the food had a "nice" kick to it, not overwhelming the more subtle flavors of the crawfish. The turnip greens side dish was flavorful and tender. The chef/owner took time to talk to me about my experience and seemed... More

I just left Bro's and it was definitely worth it. When I arrived, my first thought was "Jesus, this place is a dive!" But my coworkers and I decided to have lunch here so I kept my mouth closed. Thank god I did. I had the Boudin link and the shrimp po boy. The boudin link was a bit cool... More
