This is another classic Nashville restaurant. You sit at large tables with other people not from your party, and you're served huge platters of food (family style). The food is delicious. Country food like Grandma used to make. They rotate the meats, so check the website if there's something in particular you want. Definitely go hungry. more

Well seasoned, hearty servings, lovely ambiance in an old victorian home. Great!-brewed sweet iced tea. Friday is fried catfish day and is the best accompaniment to their famous skillet fried chicken anyone can want. Don't forget to save room for dessert! more

Monells did not live up to the name as we expected. The food is too much like from a can in some cases and not homemade. Just too much of it I guess to make sure it is all like from a kitchen. It was not easy to get more to drink but many of us sitting at a table.... more
