Great food with slow service

It was a Saturday night and the waiter forgot my salad. I got it when everyone was having their entree. So I had to have my pasta packed up shirtly after it came. However it was very good

This was the closest restaurant to our hotel and it has to be one of the best Italian restaurants have eaten in. The food was so tasty and the staff exceptionally friendly. We ate here 3 times and it was always busy and a great atmosphere.

I picked Amerigo based on several recent reviews on Trip Advisor as I was meeting a friend that in from out of town. Our server was very helpful, knowledgable with the menu, and made some nice suggestions for entrees. Cesar salads were delicious, Bruschetta was tasty, and the Fettuccine was creamy and tender. Overall, a well above average meal and... More

We went for dinner at Amerigo on West End Avenue. It was a group dinner and was served buffet style. The food was very good. Entrees included chicken in herb sauce, wild mushroom ravioli, pasta and Italian sausage in a red sauce, crab cakes, and grilled shrimp. There was a beautiful Caesar salad and tomato with fresh mozzarella as appetizers.

I had not been for years but heard it had improved while I was gone. It has and it was a good pre-concert dinner with friends so everyone got what they liked in the Italianesque vein. I'll try their business lunch next time.
