The only things that differ from a true French Bistro in Paris are--1) no terrine on the starter menu, 2) no little jar of mustard on the table, 3)everyone speaks english. other than those, the place was very french. Food was excellent, we were seated promptly, and when we told them we had symphony tickets, they expedited the food. more

My friends and I had a table for her birthday for Sunday Brunch. Yes, the birthday girl was a little late and Margo won't seat until your entire party is in the building. We were still missing 2 but were seated anyway. The RUDE waitress started out by announcing to the entire table that there was a reservation behind us... more

Upon entering the restaurant we were greated by a very unfriendly host wearing red pants, earings in both ears and less than clean looking......... A half bottle of wine cost ; four to choose from cost anywhere $32-$48... The bottles are smaller than a typical 1/2 bottle. Wine by the glass is rediculous..less than a 1/4 of a glass of... more

When I saw the two negative reviews before mine, all I could do was nod my head! Our experience, however, was even WORSE! We had a reservation and we were greeted by a very snobby host. My fiance saw there were TONS of empty tables, and politely requested we not be seated facing a wall. We saw a table we... more

I'm not sure what's up with the below negative reviews. We're foodies and have dined at many of the Michelin rated restaurants at NYC. The restaurant was excellent, the food was great, and most importantly it was the least touristy experience I had at Nashville. We liked dinner so much we had Sunday brunch the next day, and we rarely... more

Unfortunately had to eat here again as part of a small group (3 couples). The food is consistently very poor - far too pretentious for the skills in the kitchen - 10 points for ambition, negative 10 for execution. This place would not last a month in NYC, LA, or even Dallas or Houston (the 3rd and fourth largest cities... more

I too dined at Margot's Cafe on April 10th and had a very different experience than the last reviewer. We went to this restaurant based on tripadvisor reviews and I have to say we loved it. Our waitress Patty was informative, attentive, and very helpful in the daily specials. We took her advice and my husband ordered the fish soup... more

This used to be one of my favorite places, but after the last experience I will never go there again. We started of with a few problems that can normally be overlooked but things just got worse as the evening progressed. Arrived @ 8:00pm and they were already out of one dish and another on the menu had to be... more

My business colleague and I were elated to experience Margot Cafe after reading all of the great reviews. We got there after work about 5 PM and shared a drink in the cozy bar area until they were ready to seat us. The restaurant is located in an up-and-coming area of East Nashville. A local told us that this place... more

My husband and I decided to try out Margot Cafe while we were in town after reading so many good reviews. Due to our last minute plans, I didn't call for a reservation until the day before, but we were still able to get in for a weekend night. We were on the patio, which was enclosed and heated. Our... more
