I don't know if this gem was hidden or just hidden from me. But it is fabulous. True service with pro waitstaff and a menu second to none. Affordable wine and savory dishes put this high on my list for a return visit. Seafood outstanding!

I guess maybe this restaurant isn't considered as cool as some of the downtown restaurants, maybe because their food actually tastes delicious! :) This was a WONDERFUL experience. I was here on business and my waiter, Tim, was excellent: attentive but not bothersome, gave great food recommendations. The food was ready super quickly and was just extremely tasty. I'll be... The Midtown Café was a real treat! My wife had the Spinach Salad and the Grilled Salmon on a bed of domestic mushroom risotto with grilled asparagus and sun dried tomato ragout. The Salmon was light and cooked perfectly and the risotto, well Gordon Ramsey would be delighted. I had the mixed Organic Greens and the Seared Dayboat Sea Scallops... More

Visited for lunch and dinner during a few days in Nashville. Food was superb. Staff very friendly and accommodating as I've come to expect while on business in the south. Good wine list. Somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for. Place was jam packed for both dinner and lunch.

Midtown Cafe has been around for a good long while, for good reason. Some of the best service in town, and the food is consistently great. They handle BYO wine especially well. The Lemon Artichoke soup is a Nashville institution. The free shuttle to the Schermerhorn is an added plus. Highly recommended!

What you'd expect from a fancy cafe. Entrees $20-35. Pleasant atmosphere, attentive service, extensive wine list. The food was good but nothing special. The sorbet was rather disappointing.

We enjoyed our meal just fine. I had the scallops, my hubby had pasta (which he said he slightly regretted ordering as the flavour combo was weird; pesto, marinara and blue cheese). The service was excellent, the waiter was really friendly. But I felt it was a little over priced and for the money you can eat better in Nashville.

I was in Nashville for a conference. This was the best meal by far!! Fabulous food, fantastic service and overall great experience. Plus they had a shuttle that came and picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel - awesome!!

My sister and I ate here while on a short trip to Nashville. She chose it after consulting reviews on Tripadvisor. We booked ahead of time on Open Table. We were very happy with our appetizers and meals. We shared hummus/pitas and it was very good. I had a fish entrée and my sister had a meat and we were... More
