Great food, but a bit pricey $$$

Great little quaint restaurant just blocks from Vanderbilt. Excellent service and great tasting food. Try the lobster mac n' cheese, but also the Chocolate molten lava was the BEST! It is a bit lricey, but spit on for atmosphere, taste and service.

We had heard this was a good place that had been in Nashville for years, so we gave it a try. It was a friday night and we were surprised to see it so empty at 7 PM. They tried to seat us at a very small table ( 2 other people as well rejected it)) and we asked to... More

I had no idea what to expect when I walked in the door. Quiet and cozy, the staff was attentive and the food was great. It's a gem, a little pricey but not over the top. The locals all seem to know about it. I would definitely go back.

We had a group of 12 attend dinner. There was an issue with the reservation which was made for 7pm but they had in their system at 7.30pm. We had to mill around in a very tight space. The bar area was quite small and already full with other people apparently waiting for their table. There seemed to be several... More

We experienced the special menu of Restaurant Week--a price fixed menu with some very tasty choices. All was excellent: shrimp and grits, cod and tiramisu. Service was good. The food is expensive but overall the experience and taste was topnotch.

We were a large group (20 or so) who went there after a business meeting. We were seated promptly and served immediately. I had Chicken Piccata which was absolutely delicious. Generous portion, tasty and fresh. Wow. Others at the table had pork which was recommended by the server and raved about it. Service was attentive - worth remarking that it's... More

We dine at Midtown Cafe very frequently and are never disappointed by the experience: excellent cuisine, friendly and efficient service, and a great ambiance in midtown Nashville. Our most recent visit there was no exception.

My wife and I had a great dining experience at Midtown Cafe during our trip to Nashville last weekend. We arrived for our 7:30 reservation and we were initially very concerned because there were only a few other customers in the restaurant when we arrived. We even thought about just ordering an appetizer to see how the food was before... More

We were recommended to go there from our hotel concierge. The wine list is great: reasonable prices and good variety. The menu has all the usual suspects. The food quality was satisfactory, nothing spectacular. Service was quick and excellent. Good ambiance.
