Great food and service

The food here is excellent. My wife had an issue with her filet being overcooked. A new one came out promptly and was taken off our bill without asking. I had the duck which was excellent as was the pork belly. We will definitely go here again.

We had an anniversary dinner and breakfast at the Capitol Grille. The restaurant decor and setting is stunning. it is in the basement of The Hermitage hotel, but this restaurant feels like a cozy room and not a basement. The beautiful arches throughout add a touch of coziness. The food is expensive, but excellent. All of their steaks are finished... More

We ate here for dinner on Easter Sunday and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and well presented, and the staff were very polite. We enjoyed the dinner so much we came back for breakfast the following morning!

The grill is not a chain operation..confusing to some until arrival. An elegant room in an elegant hotel, a small but complete menu designed by talented chef, Tyler Brown, of growing renown. I'm not a hanger steak fan but 4 out of 9 of us ordered that cut and were delighted with the presentation and the meat from their own... More

My wife and I went to the Capitol Grille with a medium sized group. Once the whole group was there we were visited promptly by our waitress who provided us with menus, the wine list, water and later bread. Upon returning with our drinks, our waitress too everyone's order and walked away. Problem was, she neglected to take my order... More

This was my second visit to the Capitol Grille. My friend and I split the onion soup and it is a must have if you go. She had the burger which would satisfy even my 14 year old and I had the Corn Dumplings with cabbage, broccoli and shiitake mushrooms, very very yummy! And the signature drink he Jacks Mule... More

The Capitol Grille is a lunchtime lobbyist and legislator hangout in the elegance of the 5 star historic Hermitage (pronounced the "H" and forget any french pronounciation) hotel. I'm sure it has a wonderful dinner, which I only experienced by the menu, but I did have lunch there with some, yes lobbyists. First, it's a beautiful dining room. The plush... More

Located in the Hermitage Hotel, Capitol Grille (not to be confused with chain of Steakhouses) has its own farm that provides many items to the menu. Our server, Rancie, was top notch and probably the best thing about our experience. He knew where all the items on the menu where sourced from and was great with the wine list as... More

We had a drink at the Oak bar before sitting. It was nice, small. Reasonably priced drinks. Food was very good. We started with the onion soup--which is a creamy, sweet soup and excellent and the pork belly over grits. The pork belly just melts in your mouth. For dinner we had a filet and mussels with a side of... More

We dined here with a large party divided between two tables. Our server was initially a little frazzled because of the two groups talking back and forth to each other, but once the dinner service got underway, she was very professional. I started my meal with the onion bisque, which was delicious, and worth every calorie. At her recommendation, I... More
