We have come for dinner and for two special occaisions (anniversary and birthday). The food is always amazing - the service was not so good. Started out with the Vidalia Onion soup - creamy, perfectly seasoned, and great texture. Then had the filet with truffle mac & cheese and roasted fingerling potatoes. We ended up ordering a 2nd mac &... More

We decided to eat one meal on this visit at an elegant restaurant. We should not have. The meat was grossly over-seasoned with rosemary, which is wonderful when done subtly. The Mac and Cheese was dry and almost cold (we sent it back). The breads were okay. The entire meal was very expensive, for poor quality. The ambiance of the... More

My husband ordered 2 out of 2 perfect meals, whilst mine were not quite as good. I shared the two appertisers, the roasted beets with goats cheese(not enough) grits and roasted peaches was interesting, but the grits didn't wow me. My trout, whilst lovely and crispy skinned, was overlooked. The veggies were all perfect. No dessert for me, but he... More

This is probably one of the only restaurants in Nashville where a gentleman should were a jacket. Fine dining at its best. If you plan on going, better make a reservation. A lot of weddings and other large meetings are held here. The bar and the restaurant are down from street level.

The farm to table philosophy is spot on and the kitchen knows how to execute a flawless meal. Well done.

The Capitol Grille (not part of the Chain) in the Hermitage Hotel, is elegant, fine dining. The food is raised or raised locally where possible and appropriate for fine dining. The meat is "grass fed", & delicious. The wood paneling, the decor, and the professional, friendly service make a visit to the Capitol Grille a special experience. It's expensive, but... More

I have eaten here numerous times while in Nashville; however, I had never had their brunch. It was fantastic and no detail was left out it was all great.

Went for Sunday Brunch - weather was lovely, maybe that explained why place was practically empty. Waitstaff started off with initially slow service, but pacing picked up. Most ingredients are locally sourced and we enjoyed the beef based items. The Tennessee Jack Egg Sandwich is described on the menu as having "whiskey infused toast" and it definitely was more than...
