Had a business dinner here with a large group in their private dining room. Ordered off the menu and everything was excellent. We went for breakfast. We asked for recommendations from our server, Ariel, and we were blown away. My husband go the Tennessee jack egg sandwich with grits and I got the sock sausage biscuits with fresh fruit. Everything was perfect! She even came by shortly after we ordered to let us know that they were making fresh biscuits and it... More

I had tried the Capitol Grille in Washington DC, and since I was staying at the Hermitage Hotel, Capitol Grille seemed like an easy option! I am so disappointed to have had wasted my time and money at this restaurant. Reasons: poor service, mediocre food, and the old and dingy ambiance. Dinner at Capital Grille: our party was seated quickly... More

We ate at the Capitol Grille out of convenience - we checked into the Hermitage around 9:30 and were starving after flying all day. The restaurant is in the basement of the hotel. The staff was friendly and willing to accommodate any request - I wanted just a salad for dinner and they happily doubled the appetizer salad to make... More

We went to the Capitol Grille actually assuming it was part of the chain. It is not. But it is still an exceptional steak house and well worth a visit. The aged rib eye is perhaps one of the best steaks I have ever had. From appearance when you walk in, you might think the restaurant to be a little... More

The restaurant is pricey but it the food is very good and there is a lot of history in this building. The men's bathroom is famous (you need to check it out if you go!) and the bar offers some great drinks. Would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a more sophisticated atmosphere and don't mind spending a little... More

Capitol Grill is fine restaurant, for the most part good hotel restaurants have disappeared with a time gone by. Creamy Vidalia onion soup was superb; also they offered a trout skin appetizer that was spectacular. The Cesar salad was only good, scallops were great. The Carmel cake was just OK, just not my sort of thing, too sweet but the... More

This is a first class restaurant with first class prices, but well worth a splurge. We started our evening with a drink at the Oak Bar. Very elegant oak panelling, leaded glass, and per my husband, shoeshine attendant in the men's room. Very old school but not stuffy. In the Grille, we found very nice choices on the menu. Much...
