Beautiful interior - inside the Hermitage Hotel. Their food is seasonal so the menu changes but the menu is always well thought out and well prepared. On the latest visit I had the farm salad (pears and candied walnuts) and the Swordfish with wild mushrooms. Husband had NY strip. The cost is high but well worth the experience. Friendly service... The Capitol Grille in the lower level of the Hermitage Hotel in downtown Nashville TN is very elegant & romantic! You will need reservations to get in. The cost is high but you get what you pay for. you will need to bring about $150.00 for a four course meal. The food & staff are top shelf. If you want... More

Enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here ... The later version after 5 ... I believe there was a buffet offered in the first part of the day. The later part was a prix fixe three course. Very lovely and elegant. Upper end crowd ... Good service ... Easy valet parking the got our name and it was like we were special guests.... More

Deb, Angel & Katie work together BETTER than a well oiled machine. If they don't love what they do they would have an excellent career in acting! They are each so personable and truly made our time at the Hermitage a memorable one. Everything is well thought out on the menu down to the perfect cubes (or spheres)for drinks. The... More

It just feels luxurious to come in to this venue. Excellent service and food! Ambience and fun. We got to watch our hometown SF Giants play a winning world series game in the bar after dinner and felt like our Nashville night was complete! Love this place, even if it is a hit on the wallet. Just treat it like... More

We stopped by for dinner and drinks and what a fabulous setting. We ended up sitting in the Oak bar right next to the restaurant due to wait time..nevertheless, we were able to order all of the restaurant dinner items from the bar..which was great. The pork belly was spot on..yummy!... also, the lamb was cooked to perfection. The drinks... More

The visit was extraordinary. Service was impeccable and the setting was beautiful. Sweet onion bisque was velvety smooth and I'd order a glass to drink with dinner if they let me. Short rib with cauliflower and truffles was a balanced dish with depth. Buttermilk potato puree was silky smooth and quite tasty. Extensive drink list and knowledgeable server.

A typical Capitol Grille - i.e. good food, service and wine, but a bit pricey. Ambiance good. What made this evening unusual was that whilst I was in the Mens restroom, 2 x parties of ladies knocked to come in and wanted to be shown around as apparently these restrooms have won awards!!! The ladies were duly allowed in once... More

I loved my meal; table for 8 and half were happy and half were just ok with their meal. Quail was done perfectly, service fun and friendly.

In the Hermitage Hotel, the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance with historic Nashville murals and an adjacent cozy bar. Highly recommend the onion bisque, Tennessee mac & cheese, veg of the day. Good, varied wine list. Service was extremely professional and we enjoyed talking a bit with our waiter from Portugal. Please: a note to the hostess: look up when... More
