Went for Sunday Brunch - weather was lovely, maybe that explained why place was practically empty. Waitstaff started off with initially slow service, but pacing picked up. Most ingredients are locally sourced and we enjoyed the beef based items. The Tennessee Jack Egg Sandwich is described on the menu as having "whiskey infused toast" and it definitely was more than... We were here with a group of 16 and it was a very good dinner. The restaurant is beautiful. The only drawback was that it has no acoustical deadening, so it was very noisy. The menu is imaginative and the dishes I had were flavorful. I had the Pinebark Stew, which had smoked fish, bacon, potatoes and other things in... More

We love to come here on special holidays when they offer a buffet in the hotel lobby and enjoy a few hours to relax. The Historic Hermitage Hotel with all of its old world charms offers a wonderful experience to all who have been through her doors. The architecture, grand furnishings, and time spent enjoying the day is magnificent. The... More

Four of us ate in here for the Mother's Day brunch. The food is tabled in the main lobby of the restaurant with seating all around. Great piano music in the lobby but we requested a more quiet seat and sat in what I call the old open air porch that runs the length of the hotel. If you've never... More

We had a business dinner in a private room. The food was fantastic and service was great. I would go here if you want a special dinner.

I thought it was the same Capital Grille you see in DC, Chicago, Indy etc but this is spelled with an "O". No big globs of 32 oz meat here. This is fine dining at its best. Has a trainer waiter, Jeff, who was very good and a lovely young lady overseeing him who later gave us a tour of... More

The restaurant is elegant and cosy. We received a warm welcome, were seated at our table, and the wine list and menus arrived promptly. The wine was ordered and arrived, but our food order was not taken for around half and hour. The restaurant was not even that busy, the problem was our particular waiter was far more interested in... Up a very steep hill from Broadway Street, this beautiful room with wood panelling is a classy spot. Excellent service. Very good food. The 5 ounce fillet was perfectly cooked. Had the grilled carrots with blueberries and granola which is served as a side dish and it was very tasty. Check out the building while you are there. Waitress actually... More

This restaurant was located in our hotel, so on the first day we arrived we decided it was the easiest option. Often hotel restaurant are nothing too spectacular - usually quiet average. The Capitol Grille was divine. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and has a great atmosphere - intimate and charming but without being overwhelming and snobby. Our server was... More
