Always good!

Great service, reasonably priced wine and quality food you can count on! We started with oysters and they were incredibly fresh! I had the scallops and they were melt in your mouth delicious.

If you go to this Capitol Grille expecting the usual excellence, you will be disappointed. Although the restaurant was empty, we waited 15 minutes for the host to get his act together to seat us. It was comical! The food was excellent but sloppily served. Although it is located next to the stunning Hermitage hotel, better go to Mortons down... More

The Capitol Grille is connected to the Hermitage Hotel in Downtown Nashville. It is a lovely room with large pillars forming very interesting arch patterns reminiscent of Europe. The food was overall quite good, but there is one dish that was truly outstanding. The Pine Bark Stew is an appetizer that would have worked just as well as a main... More

My husband had Leg of Lamb and I had the brisket with cauliflower. It was flavorful and tender meat. Cauliflower was crispy and little tangy. Coconut cake was good but very small to split, although we were given a beautiful Anniversary dessert with macaroons and Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. All the food was presented nicely. Wait staff very attentive... More

This restaurant was in our hotel The Hermitage. We had a very nice breakfast and I would give it a full 5 stars but the hostess Dulce was so rude and we felt as though we were putting her out to seat us...no smile and looked like she was mad at the world. I know people have bad days but... More

The food was good but not great and I expected great at these prices. The presentation was poor. My plate looked more like a French countryside cafe, which I love, than a five star restaurant, which I also love. The problem is the French countryside cafe would be about half the price. The wine list is OK but the prices... More

Beautiful setting and delicious breakfast. We only go for breakfast but we go several times during each trip because it's so good.

thought the menu could have included more dishes, only one dish vegetarian. food was good and the service too. too bad they serve 1/2 cocktail for the full price. the dining room is pretty and has good lighting. went back in the evening to the Oak Bar and what a treat this was. On the other hand, the bar could... More

We have come for dinner and for two special occaisions (anniversary and birthday). The food is always amazing - the service was not so good. Started out with the Vidalia Onion soup - creamy, perfectly seasoned, and great texture. Then had the filet with truffle mac & cheese and roasted fingerling potatoes. We ended up ordering a 2nd mac &... More

We decided to eat one meal on this visit at an elegant restaurant. We should not have. The meat was grossly over-seasoned with rosemary, which is wonderful when done subtly. The Mac and Cheese was dry and almost cold (we sent it back). The breads were okay. The entire meal was very expensive, for poor quality. The ambiance of the... More
