Great burgers, terrific staff, and a good beer selection. Hipster? Stay the hell way. The rest of the real world: don't miss this gem. Anything on the menu is terrific. It's comfortable, welcoming, and simply a wonderful bit of the real Nashville.

Great burgers and the waitress was a real source of info on the area. I will always try to stop here on future Nashville visits.

Make sure you try their famous burger/cheeseburger and fries. They have been in business for years and have never served anything but great food to Nashvillians.

This is where you go when you want comfort food and don't care about new and shiny. You'll sit in a broken-in leatherette booth, eat a deliciously greasy burger or meatloaf, and top it off with a hand scooped milk shake. The waitress will call you Hon, the cigarette machine still functions, and the TVs are always on. A street... More

Milkshake was really thick and good. Grilled cheeseburger with pimento cheese on swirled rye was good but falling apart. My son had the french bread burger which was a bit plain. Potato chips are homemade and crunchy. Lemon pie homemade. Overall great time but not sure will go again. Small inside with wood paneling and pictures etc.

Sons and I stopped by after a Vandy game. Between us we had two burgers on French bread and rib special. All were wonderful. Also, had jalapeño poppers appetizer which was excellent. All around, a great dining experience.

We visited Rotier's durng a recent stay in Nashville. It was recommended by our hotel. It is an older establishment in the area. Our group mostly ordered the classic cheesburger on French bread and we were all very happy with it. Our waitress was great, and the desserts (which she had made!) were excellent. This is definitely a place with... More

The song "Cheeseburger in Paradise" is alleged to have been written about Rotier's French bread cheeseburger. I'm a big fan. I have actually walked into Rotier's and seen John Prine sitting at the bar with a burger and a High Life in front of him. (I'm sure it was a burger, pretty sure on the High Life.) I'd put Rotier's... More
