Nice southern food in a funky neighborhood .Great service definitely a return visit on my next trip to Nashville
Service was peculiar. I was told the hamburgers wear their signature, and after eating it, I don't know why. The French bread was recommended, which was pretty bland, basic bread. A little disappointing but overlookable. The hamburgers there, as many other people had said, were not cooked to order, they will cook it well, and by well I mean thoroughly,... More
This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it had great hamburgers and was very reasonably priced! Get the French bread burger - it is the best!
First went to Rotier's in the mid 60s. In the last ten years I have managed numerous stops there for lunch. Their cheeseburger on French bread is a standard item for me to order. Until lately, I went primarily for their excellent onion rings. After year's of them being great, they went to an in-house batter recipe. Two times ago,... More
We walked here from our hotel which was about a block away, after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We needed a late supper after a long day of touring Nashville. Even though it was around 8:30, we still had to wait briefly for a table, which told us the food must be good. The decor was not impressive, but that... More
The staff know almost everyone who walk through the door. Most of the patrons are ancient, which is a tribute to the food! Just an excellent burger on of all things, a french roll. They make you feel very welcome even as a tourist, but the food is good and inexpesive and local. Good health inspection score but not spotless....... More
I had the classic burger with fries. It came on toasted french bread and it was definitely homemade. I had a chocolate shake which was decent. My friend had a soda. I was surprised to see that they brought out bottled soda and that they did not have fountain style soda with free refills. Food was served on styrofoam plates.... More
My husband and I went once and fell in love. We've been back three times. The staff is super nice. The food is INCREDIBLE, best spaghetti and meat sauce I have had in a long time!!! The burger was as good as promised and the fried chicken is delicious. A must go to spot!
I get that this place is a local institution but I was less than impressed. The place is kind of dingy looking, the service was really slow and the food was nothing to write home about. Add to that the fact it is really overpriced for a burger. I would take Five Guys over this any day.
Ate here with friends during our 35th Vanderbilt reunion. We went at 2pm on a Saturday and still had a 20 minute wait for a table (understandable I guess since it was homecoming weekend). Have to say that the cheeseburger on French bread was not as good as I remembered it. Thought the bread was grilled long ago and this... More
