We've been here twice for Sunday brunch and the place is always packed. This time we called ahead to get on the list right after church was over and that saved us some wait time. The brunch menu is full of very interesting choices and we had a hard time choosing but each item we've had has been great. I... More

Okay, I will admit it, I have a duck fetish. It started at Tours d'Argent in Paris with a 1,200 Euro tab for a mediocre duck dinner. Impoverished, I learned variations of St. Alton Brown's "Mighty Duck" that remains my favorite recipe - and one rarely bettered by a restaurant. The Germantown Cafe's duck breast is simply wonderful. It is... More

After three days in the US, my body was screaming for healthy food. So I go on Trip Advisor and hey presto, I found the Germantown Cafe! The restaurant has a nice view over downtown's skyscrapers and is located in a lovely neighbourhood. Waiters are super nice and food offers a range of healthy options. The main course's size might... We took our daughter & husband to celebrate her birthday. She felt appropriately honored by the delicious food and lovely ambiance. My husband is a wood-worker and noticed the wonderful wood in the back, which stretches the length of the wall. The grain has been matched into a long piece and It is quite beautiful.

I am never disappointed with Germantown Cafe. We booked this dinner for a quiet night out and were quite happy. We had a great table with a beautiful view of the city. I enjoy branching out on the food but often end up with the plum pork - it's so delicious! The rolls are worth the calories too! Our server... More

Love the food, service and ambience here. Everyone at our table loved what they got, and my pastrami reuben sandwich was really good. And, the apple pie a la mode (heat the pie!) was some of the best that I have had in years. Literally; mercy, that was good. Good service, nice atmosphere. I will be back.

A very nice lunch over business topics. Not as quiet as I'd have liked, but the food was good and staff attentive. I had the Reuben and my lunch partner had a grilled chicken and strawberry salad.

First night in Nashville was our 20th Anniversary - hotel recommended the Germantown Cafe - I had read about it, so off we went! Loved the neighborhood - other spots worth visiting nearby, Big windows with nice view toward the Capital Building and the Farmer's Market. First impression helped by friendly reception and valet parking outside (no, we didn't have... More

The restaurant is adorable. The setting is exquisite. The food is good but very rich. I think they could benefit from "lighter expression" meaning not so many heavy sauces. Overall it was an A + experience.

While visiting Nashville, our hotel recommended this café in Germantown. Parking wasn't bad, cute area. We were sat at a table viewing downtown Nashville, nice. Our server Shannon was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions on food & wine. We had the fried green tomatoes and French onion soup to start, very well prepared and our guests...
