We took our daughter & husband to celebrate her birthday. She felt appropriately honored by the delicious food and lovely ambiance. My husband is a wood-worker and noticed the wonderful wood in the back, which stretches the length of the wall. The grain has been matched into a long piece and It is quite beautiful.

I am never disappointed with Germantown Cafe. We booked this dinner for a quiet night out and were quite happy. We had a great table with a beautiful view of the city. I enjoy branching out on the food but often end up with the plum pork - it's so delicious! The rolls are worth the calories too! Our server... More

Love the food, service and ambience here. Everyone at our table loved what they got, and my pastrami reuben sandwich was really good. And, the apple pie a la mode (heat the pie!) was some of the best that I have had in years. Literally; mercy, that was good. Good service, nice atmosphere. I will be back.

A very nice lunch over business topics. Not as quiet as I'd have liked, but the food was good and staff attentive. I had the Reuben and my lunch partner had a grilled chicken and strawberry salad.

First night in Nashville was our 20th Anniversary - hotel recommended the Germantown Cafe - I had read about it, so off we went! Loved the neighborhood - other spots worth visiting nearby, Big windows with nice view toward the Capital Building and the Farmer's Market. First impression helped by friendly reception and valet parking outside (no, we didn't have... More

The restaurant is adorable. The setting is exquisite. The food is good but very rich. I think they could benefit from "lighter expression" meaning not so many heavy sauces. Overall it was an A + experience.

While visiting Nashville, our hotel recommended this café in Germantown. Parking wasn't bad, cute area. We were sat at a table viewing downtown Nashville, nice. Our server Shannon was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions on food & wine. We had the fried green tomatoes and French onion soup to start, very well prepared and our guests... Well. The food and the atmosphere were great, and well priced for a fancy-ish kind of venue. We were a group of 7 and of the night went without a hitch - except our waiter - this guy had NO clue. Worse than a work experience kid. Check this - we asked for a bottle of Savingion Blanc_ semmion blend... More

This was a great spot for Saturday brunch for me and 5 girlfriends. We got there shortly after it opened, and had prompt service and a friendly server. There were yummy mimosas, and I had a Bloody Mary. And our server (Terry, I think) even humored me and brought me an extra bunch of olives for the drink. And the... More

in my humble opinion. Starts with the service and they were attentive and knowledable and stayed that way even as the place got busier over the course of the evening. A fun selection of cocktails to begin the evening and the menu had some varied choices and everything was quite good, with good-sized portions that seemed appropriate for the dish.... More
