This seemed like a good bet for a quick cheap lunch. Not quite cheap, not quite quick. The food was terrible. The waitress said that the after midnight crowd kept them in business. that must have been wishfull thinking. They have ceased operation.

How can one go wrong with excellent grits and fish (or shrimp). I had the fried shrimp, cheddar grits (which comes with almost all their meals), jalapeño grits and grilled veggie. My guest had fried catfish, onion rings, cheddar grits and hush puppies. Basically, you order meal and pick 2 sides. Eah meal was about $13 and we were loosening... More

Fish & Grits is located just off "the gulch" area of Nashville. You really have to look for it but it's in the same neighborhood (location wise) to Arnold's Country Kitchen & Flyte World. Our visit was for a business lunch. Passing by Arnold's there was a line out of the door - not unusual for that place. But there... More

We went for lunch yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. The cook (chef) who I think is also the owner obviously has a lot of experience cooking. The meal was wonderful! I had deep-fried shrimp and grits with onion rings and hush puppies as sides. My partner had fried catfish and grits with sides of butter beans and sliced tomatoes. Everything... More

I had bought a special purchase coupon over the internet to a new restaurant called "Fish & Grits" in Nashville. My sister-in-law thought we'd go check it out. It's a new restaurant only opened since Oct 2011 and was pleasantly surprised how good it all tasted. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and Grits along with it came 2 eggs, choice... More

I went there with my wife for lunch as we were in a conference n Nashville and wanted to try something different. We split the blackened talapia and a shrimp po boy . The sandwish was fantastic with grilled shrimps and onions. The blackened Talapia was very satisfying. This was my first time trying grits and really it is not... More

On my first trip to Fish&Grits for a takeout lunch, the server was very friendly, perhaps to a fault, though the upbeat banter did help while away the wait. I felt $14 for a takeout lunch was quite steep. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and replaced the fried egg with a side of slaw. The food, on returning with... More
