Just the two of us

I loved the experience from the moment I was greeted with champagne to every dish that was exquisitely prepared. This is not a typical restaurant. It is a great experience so share it with someone special.

My family went to celebrate my birthday. I had been wanting to go and I flew in from North Carolina to go. I wish I lived closer. This was one of the best food experiences I've had. It's not just food but art. You first come in and meet Paige who is so nice and pleasant, and at Exactly your... More

I took my son and his girlfriend last month for a celebratory dinner. They were extremely gracious and called to tell me I was able to snag a very much wanted last minute reservation. And even more gracious when my plane was delayed and I screwed everything up! The hostess was waiting for me in the lobby with a glass... More

Wow! Everything was great! Quite the experience. Champagne when you walk in the door! Fourteen fabulous courses. Every course was unique and different. Was expensive but well worth it. Very outside the box and fun to watch them prepare each course with such care. Will be back!

We were fortunate to get a reservation at Catbird Seat when we visited Nashville (not an easy feat). Trevor and his team made the experience one we won't easily forget. Dining while watching them cook for us was fascinating. The staff carefully and knowledgeably explained everything the put before us. Definitely not for the adventurous sorts. We're "foodies" and although... More

I find it very hard to give an overall rating for this restaurant. We had an amazing time. They treat you very well beginning with champagne while you go up to your table. Very friendly and informative as they tell you all about each course they bring you. A lot of wine is involved if you do the pairing. My... More

We had a group of six, including four college seniors as an early celebration for their graduation in a few weeks. With such a group we couldn't have seats at the counter, so sat at one of their two tables (which was a little cramped for six). While we missed the experience of watching the food being prepared (as you... More

Yeah - it's expensive. If you're considering it, then you are kinda past that. We were seated at a table in the corner. Another reviewer had a problem with not being able to see the chefs at work, but we did not. We came for the food - which was spectacular. If I had wanted to see the chefs closer,... More

What a unique place. Great interaction with the chefs. Food awesome. Little disappointed with the wine pairing. Not worth the $65 but the food was. Can't wait to go back for another experience.

Wikipedia says "'the catbird seat' is an idiomatic phrase used to describe an enviable position, often in terms of having the upper hand or greater advantage in all types of dealings." Apparently the name is connected with the American gray catbird, also known as the mimic thrush (think mockingbird, or more recently mocking jay). They are known for sitting on... More
