This was the first trip to Monell's for my wife & I. We met some family members there. Monell's is family style service meaning that you will sit down at a long table w/ your family & other families and everybody at your table will get what's served. So let me tell you everything you can get a portion of... More

Monell's was recommended to me by a friend. Our party of four really enjoyed our dinner. It was every reasonably priced and the food was very good.

All you can eat southern breakfast, including corn pudding and sweet tea. Family style dining, so don't forget to pass everything to the left! Will definitely return for lunch or dinner experience. You won't be disappointed.

What a cool place! We were traveling with a group of 40- a mix of teens and adults for a Mission Trip- and they were able to seat us all! The young adults got a great kick to 'passing to the left only' and the eat all you want style. The food was amazing!! We all tried everything- even the... More

This is a beautiful house and the food is amazing. It is served family style so you sit at long tables with fellow diners. There was a celebrity sitting at the table next to ours.

This is an "experience" restaurant....with good food! When you enter the large plantation house, you are seated at a large table (ours had nine places) with other people. The people with whom we sat were very nice. Not everyone was a tourist; locals eat there, too. Large bowls are passed around; if a bowl is empty, it is refilled. The... More

We recently dined here and it was a nice experience. After an explanation from the hostess, we waited a few minutes for two more couples to join us. Then the many bowls of a wide variety of well prepared Southern dishes began arriving. Wow, it was a lot of food, as others have said, pace yourself ! Everything was good... More

No, I am not trying to insult any Mamas out there. As a mother who likes to cook, there is NO way you can make that much good food to serve a crowd at one time. Monell's knows how to do it! We arrived at about 5:25 to find large parties waiting to be sat together. We had no wait... More

Shared table, excellent country cooking and all you can handle -- just like your grandmother laid out.

I found this place on Tripadvisor after picking up family from the nearby Nashville airport. We arrived at 1:45 pm on Friday, just before closing for lunch at two pm. We were walked into a nearly empty room and seated right next to a couple. Confused I asked if we could have our own table. I did not understand what... More
