Interesting

Found this on Yelp while visiting Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Great atmosphere. I had a burrito dog (guac, pico, etc. inside a torilla), which was unusual but very good. Might be a tad expensive but would highly recommend.

Visit this clean, modern, efficient, friendly neighborhood hot dog spot near Vanderbilt in historic Hillsboro Village and you won't be disappointed. Pretty much any kind of dog you'd want--except for possibly the Coneys of Upstate New York--can be had with all the trimmings: German, Chicago, slaw dog, brat, BBQ, original, turkey. All good. The prices are quite reasonable (check out... More

We have a gathering we go to in Nashville on Tuesdays and we love to eat at The Dog first! They are the best! The variety of hot dogs and other sandwiches is endless, the fried dill pickles are yummy and the homemade chips are SO DELISH!

I love this place. Great creations of the plain old hotdog. Corn dog is great, barnyard dog even better. Homemade chips with salt and viniger tastes just like Canada's. Well done

Got to test out all the dog places in can! Was impressed with the hot dog here. Lots to choose from and all looked good. The burger was decent. Their steamed buns are great. Made a great lunch.

Stopped in one night before seeing a movie at the Belcourt Theater. Got the daily special, a dog with sriracha, and some 'Dog Bites' (fried jalapeños). Both were tasty and a reasonable price. It was hard to choose a dog because there are a lot of appealing ones from which to choose. It feels like a great neighborhood place; pretty... More

Go there for lunch failry regularly. It is great food and you get your moneys worth. One of the best hamburgers that I have ever had. Hot dogs are great also. Place usually stays fairly busy with the location during the lunchtime when i have visited. They also cater. Open from 11am to 10pm, 7 days a week. They also... More
