Charming Place

I have heard a lot about this place and was very excited to go. Nashville has so many great places and this is no exception to that rule. Very small, not many seats. So the wait could be long.

There are many choices of restaurants in Nashvile and we are so glad we chose to visit The Silly Goose. Our server was delightful and made suggestions for our meal which proved to be great choices. We had the flank steak and the salmon entrées with yummy ice cream for dessert. Highly recommend this small restaurant for a special occasion... More

Small, casual restaurant serving great sandwiches for both the vegetarian and meat eater. My wife absolutely loved the portabello sandwich and I had a tasty cappicola. You can get a simple mixed green salad or couscous or both with your sandwich. Absolutely wonderful bottomless green tea here, along with fresh lemonade. A great lunch spot. We want to come back... Very good food, charming atmosphere, but rather small. The restaurant specializes in using local produce as much as possible and the menu changes as a result. The prices are quite reasonable. There's no "kids menu", so I would say their target customer is teens and up, but anyone who enjoys wholesome, tasty food can find something on their menu. I... More

Very good East Nashville experience. Very good food. Limited menu that changes. Something for everybody. Small restaurant with often long wait - but well worth it.

We were on the Interstate near Nashville, looking for something unique that wasn't too far off the highway. The name caught our eye online, but we had no idea just how wonderful the food would be. Our server was warm and attentive, and the food was simply unforgettable. I went for the popular King Kong. Who knew that couscous could... More

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and decor. Prices are reasonable. Food is great. But the service is really lacking. A couple sitting next to us who were there before us for their order mixed up and were not served until after we were done! We waited a long time for our food - as we watched the servers stand... After spending time in the downtown and being underwhelmed with where we chose to dine we stopped in the Silly Goose for our final meal before returning home. What a great choice. First of all I felt much better in this area as it was not filled with drunken tourists. I had already checked the menu online and was looking... More

We were drawn to the name and the food did not disappoint! My husband and I, along with our 11 and 9 year old, happened upon this place for lunch while visiting Nashville. The drinks started the great experience; basil lemonade, mint citrus green tea and pomegranate pineapple red tea. We then ordered a range of things from trout to... More

The Silly Goose is a little restaurant in East Nashville, across the river from downtown. We went for lunch and sat at the bar where we could watch the kitchen in action. The owner/chef Roderick Bailey and all of his team are in constant motion. We had the KingKong--gulf shrimp, couscous and a delicious sauce, one of the sandwiches whose... More
