I took my wife and four children to Suzy Wong's last month for an early Sunday dinner. The interior was a bit dark for my taste, but that was OK on a hot, sunny day. The exterior doesn't exactly scream out at you, so if you're going for the first time, you need to look out for it. The neighborhood... More

Needed a late weeknight place after arriving in town late. Found this place on Church not far from. I-40. Walked in at 10 & thought I'd made a misstep, as there were only 3 other patrons & the bartender was cleaning up. He promised, however, the kitchen was open another hour, so I sat down at his bar. I relaxed... More

Albert Myint's SWHOY is one of 5 restaurants operated in Nashville by a long-established Thai family. The menu is fresh Asian cuisine influenced by the executive chef's Thai heritage -- this is not a traditional American-Chinese restaurant. The idea is a hip, campy place where friends can share small plates and noodle bowls. The food the evening we were there... More

Thank you to Priyal for making our 3 year anniversary so wonderful. You were so wonderful and polite from the get go, and thank you for surprising us with the brownie bites for dessert. I had General Tso's chicken and jasmine rice; it was wonderful. The restaurant was neat, laid back, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Some were dressed up,... More

This wasn't so bad. I prefer more traditional type and larger portions. Different type environment too

A different twist on Chinese food. Upscale, non-traditional, inexpensive food by a Nashville serial restaurateur. I believe this is at least the third restaurant (sister restaurants???) they have opened in town and this one is just as good as the others we have dined at. My wife and I will return and bring friends for a another wonderful meal. Our... More

A couple of years ago, this restaurant served great food in a festive environment. The place is allegedly run by some "famous" chef. After my last two experiences, I won't be back and from what I can tell, the "famous" chef, who was supposedly a runner-up on a cooking show at some point, is MIA. The saving graces: a staff... More

Found SWHY open late on a Sunday night. We (3) were looking for something a little different. There was only one other table in use when we arrived about 9 PM and we had prompt, sociable service from a nice young male waiter. We ordered tapas; tempura shrimp, edamame, crab rangoons, and the asian nachos. I had an orange cocktail... More

WARNING: Had dinner at Suzy Wong's tonight and a glass was broken at the bar. No one bothered to check the area around our table. While leaving a small piece cut my foot. (I wasn't aware it was in my flip flop.) After notifying management they were not concerned once they knew I didn't need stitches.

My sister and I were visiting my daughter in Nashville when she suggested a Mother's Day Brunch at Suzy Wong's House of Yum. The Drag'n refers to Playmates from nearby Play Dance Bar performing every 1/2 hour, brunch is from 11-3. Our entertainer was Jade Jolie (don't know if this is spelled correctly)_and we saw her through 2 costume changes,lots... More
