Located in Germantown, this restaurant is definitely a shining star in the Nashville scene. Offering a creative menu with exceptional service, City House is tucked in a restored artist studio that combines hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, and contemporary touches. Reservations recommended for a memorable evening.

City House is a jewel. The ever-changing menu us always intriguing and never boring, the food always fantastic. Best of all, it's consistent.....I've been here numerous times and have only had wonderful experiences. Their pizzas are the best in town. And the deserts? Amazing.

City House hands-down made our trip. Gone are the days of Nashville only being known for BBQ, this is dining at its finest. Our server, Jocelyn, speaks so eloquently about food, you can almost taste it! She is also credited with our amazing culinary journey in Nashville, sending us to all the hidden gems. Try the corn bread gnocchi, catfish,... More

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. We could only get reservations for 8:45, but showed up at 6:30 and they were able to accommodate us. The food was outstanding - we had some very refined versions of traditional southern food, which I had never experienced before and found really interesting. In particular, we really enjoyed the cucumber... More

Phone disconnected and chairs stacked on tables. Try Germantown Cafe on 1200 5th Ave North right around the corner. They have valet parking, good food, full bar service and priced resonably.

Food is over worked and frankly just boring. Our pink high top waiter was basically obtuse with a slash of " oh my god tourist..so beneath me". Honestly you can pass this place up..Nashville has many great food place with actual hospitality.

Cool atmosphere. Very lively. Open kitchen. Very much of a "clean eating" vibe (not surprising since Gwyneth Paltrow recommended this place). The food was great, very flavorful. But I didn't necessary feel like I was getting the best value for my money (small-ish portion sizes). Our server was a bit pretentious and definitely seemed annoyed when we didn't order alcohol.... Reservation definitely needed! We were early but the girl at the door was very friendly and made us feel welcome, all the while informing us that the table would be taken after 7pm (we arrived at 5:30 so no problem). Place looks like an old brick house from the outside, but the entrance on the side takes you into a... More

You are going to want to make a reservation. We had a reservation for 4 and wanted to change to 5 about 3 hours before our scheduled arrival post Steeplechase but they would not accommodate that. The area we were seated in was VERY loud (by the kitchen) and it was difficult to hear across a 4 top. I believe... More
