Neat and different

Varied menu that attracts a primarily young crowd. Almost a neighborhood hang out vibe. Menu items should be shared and order a variety of things. Loved the experience!!

We walked from our staycation condo downtown to City House in Germantown. It's so low key that we strolled right past it! Once inside, we chose to enjoy dinner on the screened porch, as it was much quieter than inside. Our server was really knowledgeable and engaged (in addition to looking just like Nick Offerman, which only made it better!).... More

I would have given it 3.5 to be fair. Service 1/5 Food 3/5 Ambiance 4/5 We enjoyed our meal overall BC there was soooooo much time to talk. The service was not good. We waited almost 10 minutes to be greeted and get a water. The flatbread with pork belly was amazing. My wife ordered catfish, which to my surprise... More

We went to City House for dinner one night during our stay. We sat at the kitchen counter which was really fun and we got to chat with the guy that was actually making our food. We started with the Scrapple because we wanted something new to try. It was great! For the meal, we got the Margherita pizza (I've... More

So. Much. Hype. It wasn't terrible, but I wasn't blown away either. The ambiance is good, the style is cool, but the service was, to be generous, average. I came in with high expectations, and left disappointed. The food was about as average as the service.

So loud servers have to literally scream as do the patrons at their table. I've no words for over priced food placed in what's suppose to be chic industrial environments that are subway train loud...but it's a real theme across Nashville. Read so many good reviews about City House, however, if your not 20 something, can hold a conversation without... More

The atmosphere was fantastic...lively and energetic but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other. We went for the Sunday Supper which was really fun and amazing food. Shared an appetizer, pizza and dessert. Great bottle of wine. Our server gave us great tips. Loved the place and will certainly go back the next time we visit Nashville. Thanks... More

Great atmosphere - open kitchen with a lot of energy. It's the more fun to order several different plates and share with the table. Don't miss the pizza for a nice shared appetizer. Chef is always inventive with fresh local ingredients.

Been there half a dozen times and will continue. Superb food and service. We always get the bean soup, but you must share because it's enough by itself for a main course.

The food was fantastic. You are certain to have a wonderful meal here. The concept (a house) was interesting and unique. It gave the place a unique and fun vibe. The service was prompt and professional. The biggest reason I wasn't a big fan of the menu was that it is very 'foodie'. Everything is very small portioned and weird... More
