Charming restaurant. We started with the Octopus dish, which was great, as was the Escarole salad with Cauliflower. I had the Catfish, Cornmeal Crust, Cauliflower, Tomato, Anchovy, Garlic, Chilies which was wonderful. I was a little worried it would be greasy and heavy, but it was on the lighter... read more

We've been here before, but never for Sunday dinner. So delicious!! Each dish was more tasty than the last. The menu is completely different from the rest of the week - you just have to go! We had 1 each of the pork appetizers, and then ordered more by the end of the meal. It's great to go with friends... More

We booked a table for 8 for my wife's birthday. 6 of the group had never been there so we requested family style plating. We also let the kitchen decide what to serve. We all tried octopus for the first time and it was incredible. I highly recommend it. The scrapple was a big hit also. My favorite dish if... More

Went on a week day night and had not problems getting in. Loved the location. Unique building in German-town. Service was friendly and accommodating. Food was very good. Thought the menu was somewhat limited though. Wine list was overpriced.

Final able to get reservations and we were not disappointed! The food was fantastic and the service even better. It's always a pleasure to get an attentive and informative waiter - ours (Ryan) was great, He really added to our experience. We all ordered something different and Ryan encouraged us to share, so we could experience the different tastes!! I... More

How is this place not in the top 5?! We ate at Cityhouse for dinner on a Sunday which is a must do. I read about this in a travel magazine and a local chef said he leaves his restaurant and eats at Cityhouse. This place is incredible and unique. We had the popcorn and biscuits for appetizers followed by... More

Our first trip. I found the food at City House to be, simply, uninspired. I would describe it as "trying too hard to seem like they are not trying hard". I get the fact that the goal is to put the spotlight on the food and to not over garnish, but I felt like it was somewhat plain. One of... More

Myself and 3 others from work, 2 of which were from out of town, went to the City House for dinner. We arrived early, so getting a table was not an issue. However, around 6:30 PM (Wednesday night) it became full. I appreciate what the City House is trying to accomplish with the menu. They are creating unique combinations of... More

Our Bachelorette party visited City House for dinner and drinks. They served us family style. We had 11 girls and ordered two appetizers, two pizzas, 3 steaks, 2 chickens, 2 clams/grits 2 pastas and two sides. We had plenty of food for all of us to share. Everything was so tasty and flavorful. The drink menu was confusing. We had... More

This restaurant is hands down, the best place to eat in Nashville. I've been here multiple times and it is always outstanding. The belly ham pizza is delicious! Their gnocchi is awesome and the desserts are to die for. This place is not getting the attention it deserves!!!
