There has been a revamp at the cafe and the large front room is no longer packed with antiques making entry difficult. Always a good place for a coffee or a meal. The atmosphere is rustic and it is worth stopping here for a meal or during a drive in the scenic local countryside.

Upon entering this place we were not greeted and left to our own devices and many times the waitress passed us several times without comment. After the waitress finally approached us after 10 minutes she informed us,'Did you not see the sign to order at the front counter.' The place was not busy, only two tables alongside us. My wife... we had a wonderful morning watching the galah's, cockatoo's and other bird life...while we ate a very nice breakfast.. toast was slightly overcooked but the rest of the meal was lovely...home made baked beans, a paper and a huge pot of tea and I was in heaven for a least 2 hours...worth the drive for a pleasant morning in the... I had lunch here yesterday with a group of seniors, we had booked and they knew how many of us were coming, but we found the service to be very slow. It was extremely hot on the verandah, none of the plastic blinds can be rolled up to let some air in. There was air conditioning in the Antiques part... More

Had breakfast at Watsons Creek, New Menu, fantastic ! Real antique shop with real antiques, hard to find these days. Very knowledgable antique dealers. Great and friendly service

Venue, antique shop and outdoor area were serene and enjoyable. Food was mediocre - their self proclaimed 'Cake Heaven' selection, was dry, tasteless... One thing that stood out for us (table of 10) was the service. It was absolutely appalling! Waitresses (all of them) were grouchy and unhelpful. They were unsmiling and unwilling to serve. No water to the table... More

I've had breakfast here a couple of times however most recently, was extremely disappointed with the service. My partner and I waited atleast 15 minutes for coffees and then were finally tired of waiting. Got up to leave and the manager was extremely rude to us, as the had just made coffees but hadn't brought them to us. I offered... More

We found a gem - there are some fabulous antiques to buy but on top of that the food is great, staff are amazing and the owners and family are exceptional. They are also stockists for Yarra Valley Preserves and TasTeas (naturespath). We will certainly call in every time we are in the area.
