This little quirky cafe makes you smile the minute you walk in. Reminds me a little of home in the 80's. The staff are friendly and efficient. The morning my husband and I went there were 4 new staff and it was very busy but all ran like clockwork. Lots of choice on the menu and well catered if... read more

After reading Lilyblake's review we went to the Tasting Station with some trepidation. I guess every place has good and bad days and we struck a great day. We went for lunch with friends. Service was prompt and friendly. My wife had "The Standard" meal which was tasty and the salad was really fresh. One friend had the calamari salad... More

After looking forward to lunch at this establishment for weeks, having heard that the food and produce is great, we arrived to an empty cafe with two staff on duty. Upon ordering the food, a dark haired waitress greeted us with an arrogant, annoyed attitude, as if we were causing her some unwanted work. She was unhelpful and rude to... More

Great spot for lunch, coffee or a glass of local wine. The salads are amazing! So fresh & tasty, great menu with lots of options. Check out all their local products including wines, chutneys, honey & more.

Food was very good and a little unusual in presentation. Coffee was good and there were many gourmet foods and spices as well as local wine, that could be bought - and some was. Perhaps a little cramped for room for 8 of us but we were offered another table which we declined.

Great place for breakfast - try the homemade baked beans! Served on a wooden board makes your taste buds water before eating. Coffee fantastic, service friendly. Bonus of goodies to buy of local produce, I have made many hampers for gifts from the range. Favourite balsamic reduction a must buy. Always an eclectic mix of bike riders, locals and hospital... The Tasting Station was a surprise find! We'd spent the day tripping around the penninsula, all around Red Hill sampling all the local beverages, cheese and foodstuffs. We'd just about made it back to our lodging when we thought why not stop for a quick coffee... It turned out that we were there for much more... Upon entering we were... More
