Fabulous Venue

This was not our first visit to this spectacular building with fabulous views. We took friends this time and were not as impressed with our food as on previous occasions. Suprised to find this highly recommended restaurant so disappointing. Pretty views and the food, while delicious was comparatively expensive to other restaurants of the same caliber. But it was the indifferent service which bordered on rude, that ruined what should have been a special experience for us all.

Refined dining and professional service make this Winery restaurant one of my favourites. Never disappointed especially as the desserts and cheese board are outstanding. If you are looking for a restaurant with an eye for detail and a wonderful view this is it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Lunch at the Port Phillip Estate, which was part of their "Naughty Long Lunch" Package which included an overnight stay in one of their amazing guest suites. We selected the recommended wine parings (additional to our package) and very pleased with them. Their Port Phillip Pinot Noir paired with the Wallaby tartar was sublime! Ours was... More

We have been here many times in the past few years and have always been so happy... Except this visit. we were really looking forward to visiting with high expectations. Food was extremely small portions with no flavour, entrees okay, mains no standard out, desserts overpowered by egg flavour! Wines were nice though and service was good, but had been... More

We dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. The views were stunning and the service was exactly what you would expect, friendly yet professional. The food was very good, we had the scallops and squab for entree, beef and veal for mains and berries and peaches for dessert. Although it wasn't the best meal I've... More

The building is a lovely architectural statement in a gorgeous setting but the architects have created a barn of a space that becomes a huge, dark, cold volume at night when the views turn to black, reflective glass and an assemblage of cold, hard surfaces offer no comfort. It is hard to feel that you are having a special meal... More

We have visited Port Philip Estate a several times for lunches & dinner and our experiences have been mixed; occasionally very good food and service, other times just mediocre, but today it was most definitely the worst lunch (Cellar door) you could have. First; bread soft & tasteless served on small bread & batter plate - for sharing. Starters; -... More
