Good bar and dining facilities. The restaurant area out the back serves top food and there is also an adjoining outdoor area which is covered. Live music on weekends a feature. Great views of Port Phillip Bay, plenty of parking.

So the food is pretty good but every time we go its about to close. Last time we turned up at 7.30pm on a Sunday and were told to order fast as they were closing. This happened to us about 2 years earlier in Feb. Strange...

The Grand is the grand old pub in Portarlington. Very much a pub to rely on for cosy drinks and meals with $15 specials on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Great value and friendly service.

Took the family here on our summer holiday 2014..looks inviting, also has a nice atmosphere.. while the prices are reasonable, the food was average. Ordered kids pizza/chips & salad, plus a kids fish/chips & salad ( as stated on menu ) disappointing in such a prime tourist location, that the pizza was the frozen type and their salads didn't even... Not even ONE star. The online menu has not been updated, the waiter did not even know what vegetarian lasagna was. My partner and I ordered the chicken parmi, mine was UNCOOKED and the chef said it was fine, the 'bacon' was poor quality processed ham, they had absolutely no coke, just coke zero on tap. Charged us $16 for... More

Table of 12: great service and we'll priced meals. I had linguini with mussels and it was delicious. I tasted the calamari and it was to die for. I would recommend a visit.

Restaurant attached to the hotel so is convenient especially if you are staying here, there is not lots of choices really. It needs jazzing up no doubt and they should do this as the food was pretty good. Thought it was on the pricey side for the ambience offered service was ok. A paint job and some new carpet could... Stayed at Port Arlington and the Grand Hotel was recommended by the host of our accomodation. Quick drive into town which was so quiet on a frid night The restaurant is located behind the bar in a separate room. It was a small cosy restaurant with rich wood panelling adding to the warmth. There was live music which was very... More

Went there for our anniversary and had lunch on 31/3/14, both my wife and I had the special of the day steak. What was special was they were both so tough and rubbery you could have resoled our shoes with them. We should have twigged there was a problem with the steak as the table next to us had just... Had lunch in the bistro. Entree calamari was nice, but the mains were very disappointing. My husband had the mussels which were ok, nothing special. I had the flathead tails. They were shocking. $28 for fish & chips. The pathetic excuse for a salad came with rotten lettuce leaves. I hade a coke & hubby had a beer. $80 for... More
