we dined at Wildfish last night. Some reviews we had read mentioned problems with service but we found quite the opposite - friendly, informative and smooth. The food was very tasty and well plated. We shared the tasting spoons - scallop, prawn and salmon which were all delicious. The house made bread was a nice touch - we bought a... More

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. Arrived around 7 ish. There were only another 3 tables with couples in the entire restaurant, definitely not busy. I ordered a Seafood tomatoey soup (can't remember the fancy name) which was lovely. However I believe it's quite overpriced for what it was... As for the service, well you may as well... More

Really delicious dinner here last night. Had scallops and tasting plate for entree, fish pie and fish & chips. Fish pie was more like fish soup with a pastry lid, but was yummy. Fish with chips and salad ...fish pieces very small, disappointing but v.tasty.

Arrived at Wildfish at the appointed time for our reservation. They did not appear too busy but we had a wait to be seated. When seated we noted most people in the restaurant had coats on. The reason became obvious, must have a problem with the heating, it was freezing. No one attended us, or even offered water. We left... More

Hi there. I am afraid you had to experience this. Sure it has been a misunderstanding. Floor staff, did attend you and when they asked if you where ready to order you said you where waiting for some other people to join your table. We probably got busier in the mean time. Please if you come again to Port Albert... More

Went for a drive to Port Albert looking for a lazy lunch on a sunny Saturday and stumbled across this little gem. A really nice setting overlooking the water with a cosy ambience. Once seated, the waiting staff were quick to ask if we would like drinks and also took the time to let us know they were in training.... More

Have been going to Wild Fish for the past 5 years for a special family occasion. Unfortunately yesterday will probably be our last.Michael has leased the business out to the chef, not a good move!!! The restaurant was full as was the outside deck. To cater to all these patrons were 2 staff members, one trying to run the bar,... More

You gotta have to watch at the whole picture. We are in country side and here it is a bit hard to find "pros" There is also to say that the menu was matched with what the clientele wanted. Is not about my menu, my restaurant nether my skills. We have a spring menu that I think you might like... More

Went there last Friday on a wet rainy day while in the area. What a wonderful experience. The fish was cooked to perfection. The star dish was the linguini with prawns. This was amazing. Wonderful flavours and the perfect amount of tomato topping. My wife definitely picked the better dish between the two of us. The service was excellent and... More

The outlook from the restaurant is special. Our service was very good and the staff friendly. The menu was varied, if a little pricy and would certainly appeal to people from the city. Our only complaint was that the venue is very noisy. There are no carpets, curtains or other sound deadening materials and even with a small number of... More

I was surprised to see negative reviews for this restaurant. If I had to say anything negative it would be that they had changed the menu for valentines days and we had our heart set on a few things we had seen previously listed on their website, but after dining at Wildfish we were not disappointed by what we ate....
