Went there last Friday on a wet rainy day while in the area. What a wonderful experience. The fish was cooked to perfection. The star dish was the linguini with prawns. This was amazing. Wonderful flavours and the perfect amount of tomato topping. My wife definitely picked the better dish between the two of us. The service was excellent and... More

The outlook from the restaurant is special. Our service was very good and the staff friendly. The menu was varied, if a little pricy and would certainly appeal to people from the city. Our only complaint was that the venue is very noisy. There are no carpets, curtains or other sound deadening materials and even with a small number of... More

I was surprised to see negative reviews for this restaurant. If I had to say anything negative it would be that they had changed the menu for valentines days and we had our heart set on a few things we had seen previously listed on their website, but after dining at Wildfish we were not disappointed by what we ate.... Rather disappointed with our food. If you like crispy batter you are best not to order or be disappointed! It came stodgy and undercooked. The fish inside was lovely, however, the first mouthful of the batter spoiled the whole meal, hence not risking deserts! When approached about the issue, the friendly staff were apologetic offering 1 free dessert or a... More

My family has had a little beach shack in Port Albert for over 50 years. Over that time we've seen gradual changes, some good and some not so good. This was my first visit to Wild Fish with my family after hearing about it from others. We had 4 children in tow, along with 4 adults. Our meals were delicious,... More

What a wonderful place to dine. Not only is the location fabulous but the oysters are great, the fish fresh, the wine dry and the service friendly - happy!

Used to be OK. Now still over priced and lower grade. The take away fish and chips next door is very expensive and no better than supermarket chips. If you charge premium prices I expect premium quality.

We read about Wildfish when we decided to stay in Port Albert and thought it sounded great. It was so disappointing. Staff couldn't explain the terms used for the dishes and rather than check with the chef gave us the wrong info. The oysters for $29 had not even been detached from the shell. The prawns were butterflied but that... More

I had been umming and ahhhing about where to eat in Port Albert, a tiny little fishing town in Victoria, while we were staying overnight on our way to Melbourne on the coast road from Sydney. Finally I settled on Wildfish, having read some tripadvisor reviews, over another restaurant that had come out on top at number 1 in Port... More

We ate an early lunch at Wildfish on the Saturday of a long weekend. The setting is beautiful - particularly from a window table. The restaurant staff were very welcoming and well organised and our meals - fish/prawn pie and whiting, with a side of asparagus - were excellent. The only comment (hardly a complaint) was that a few of... More
