We dined here with our 5 year old on a weekend getaway. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is very lively with yodelling and dancing while getting the guests involved. The food was buffet styled but very tasty with lots of options. You definitely wont leave hungry. It's not fine dining but tasty, family friendly wit ha nice... More

We went to the Cuckoo for my sons 18th birthday in January this year. We had been there before as a family and had enjoyed it too. The staff were good although drinks service a bit slow. The food was the usual buffet fare but very tasty, no complaints from our lot. The show was much the same but including... More

My husband and I were taken to this restaurant whilst visiting my aunt in Australia on February. Her last visit had been 5/6 years ago and she was excited to be taking us. We arrived at around midday after exploring the lovely surrounding area. We had a nice table in a corner and wax brought done lovely soup by a... More

We were taken here for "afternoon tea" that was in actual fact a set charge ($25 per person) for a smorgasbord feast and live entertainment for close to two hours. It was our first visit to The Cuckoo which is not far from the shops at Sassafras. The Cuckoo is a place where groups appear to go to celebrate special... More

The cuckoo was our choice for our special friend's hens night!!! It was the PERFECT choice! The place was packed (which is always a good sign) & the service was fantastic, with the themed waitresses being very friendly and attentive. The smorgasbord was continually refilled and the food was delicious! The dessert bar is to die for!! The entertainment is... More

It is a bit pricey but for that you get unlimited food (which is reasonable) and entertainment so you can't really complain about that. We had a good night, they cater well for birthdays. Only major complaint is the waiting staff. All night I only had 1 beer, the drinks staff just were never around. It was a quiet night... More

We went here after being "kicked out" of the Clocks; we had a ball!!! Amazing - one German pub accept you with open arms, the other has such a bad understanding of - um - German culture! Food was great, heaps of beer, even called us a Taxi. Utterly the opposite experience from the very bad German Clocks and Cafe... More

I have been here three times and swear that's enough for a life time. The hype and atmosphere of the place builds it up but it is kinda like McDonalds, once you've been and eaten you walk out wondering why did I do that? It is getting expensive and to be honest, unless your some super fatty who can eat... More
