Rachel & I had last been to the "Cuckoo" in our separate childhoods. We enjoyed a delightful evening, with a large selection to choose from the smorgasbord. The entertainment was also enjoyable, especially with the inclusion of customers in the "ringing of the bells" set. The service was also very good. A great night for family & friends get-together.

You certainly will not get a gourmet lunch or dinner here but the buffet food is very good with a large variety. It is a large restaurant that caters for tourist groups with a German theme and some entertainment. A lovely drive up to the Dandenongs and well worth the trip. Will go back on our next visit to Melbourne.

A great family night out. Nested in a great location, the restaurant is very quaint, with plenty to see visually. Fantastic standard of food for a buffet with a good variety. Start all friendly. Entertainment was an added bonus with start very funny and as long as you are game for a bit of fun it's a must. Good place... More

We were taken here by friends and couldn't get over how quaint this restaurant is with all the German cuckoo clocks on the walls as well as the main attraction, which is the largest cuckoo clock in the world. The food is served buffet style and there was plenty of variety and delicious foods. Take a walk around the buffet... More

A bit expensive, but by far the best restaurant I've ever been to. I went on a Sunday night. The food was great and delicious. My only regret is that I couldn't fit more in. I especially loved the roast beef. The service was the best I've ever had. Soup was brought to our table upon arrival, and the owner... More

Great food, friendly service and an entertaining old fashioned floor show that gets the audience involved. We have been celebrating a birthday here every year for the past 21 years and it's great every time. Very child friendly as well.

We came here for lunch with the family. The full range buffet were hot and were refilled regularly. Service was efficient and fast. Photographer's there to capture the memories in this historic establishment. ($20ea) The venue seemed to be split into two parts to cater for the patrons. Entertainment was amusing and gets the crowd involved. Popular for birthdays and... More

Had an absolute ball. Only reason it didn't get 5 out of 5 is because when we first got there, no one explained the service procedure to us.

Just had our third visit for Christmas in July..we just love it..Bavarian/German food ..and authentic German atmosphere..we enjoyed the singing..yodeling..cow bells and the lederhosen outfits..The open fireplaces are a delight on a cold winters day..It is a smorgasbord so we can help ourselves..no waiting..always well patronised..the people who run it are very friendly..making customers feel at home..and Olinda is such...
