Thank you for this experience, the greeting was nice. The service was attentive and the food adequate. Whilst I did find the entertainment Loud I commend the guy who yodelled , he engaged the audience and is an asset, I even saw him preparing for the next set of guests. Best regards Colin Kempster OAP.

We really enjoyed our experience at the cuckoo. Our first time there and I thought the prices at $55 per head were responsible for what you received. We had a grandfather, father and son present and all enjoyed the night, a true family experience. Upon arrival we were handed complimentary drink of choice, alcohol punch, non alcohol punch and the... More

European atmosphere. Can be a bit noisy with lots of non-professional people or groups singing or making noise. Lots of food but some of it wasn't overly hot, and some of it was a little overcooked. Soup is served to the table but the restaurant is self-serve after that. You may have to walk a fair way to the buffet... More

We've been here before, its very good and very good value for money, considering the range of food that is available. Its probably some 6yrs ago that we last visited the Cuckoo and it still just as good. On the last occasion we were part of a private function, but on this occasion it was at lunchtime, and the atmosphere,... More

Rachel & I had last been to the "Cuckoo" in our separate childhoods. We enjoyed a delightful evening, with a large selection to choose from the smorgasbord. The entertainment was also enjoyable, especially with the inclusion of customers in the "ringing of the bells" set. The service was also very good. A great night for family & friends get-together.

You certainly will not get a gourmet lunch or dinner here but the buffet food is very good with a large variety. It is a large restaurant that caters for tourist groups with a German theme and some entertainment. A lovely drive up to the Dandenongs and well worth the trip. Will go back on our next visit to Melbourne.

A great family night out. Nested in a great location, the restaurant is very quaint, with plenty to see visually. Fantastic standard of food for a buffet with a good variety. Start all friendly. Entertainment was an added bonus with start very funny and as long as you are game for a bit of fun it's a must. Good place... More

We were taken here by friends and couldn't get over how quaint this restaurant is with all the German cuckoo clocks on the walls as well as the main attraction, which is the largest cuckoo clock in the world. The food is served buffet style and there was plenty of variety and delicious foods. Take a walk around the buffet... More

A bit expensive, but by far the best restaurant I've ever been to. I went on a Sunday night. The food was great and delicious. My only regret is that I couldn't fit more in. I especially loved the roast beef. The service was the best I've ever had. Soup was brought to our table upon arrival, and the owner... More

Great food, friendly service and an entertaining old fashioned floor show that gets the audience involved. We have been celebrating a birthday here every year for the past 21 years and it's great every time. Very child friendly as well.
