This is a fantastic place to take the family a great fun themed place and the food is super and many gluten free options and they all know their stuff. They don't charge for kids either.

Went here for a birthday party and the entertainment and atmosphere were fantastic. The food was great loads and loads of choice and all tasted absolutely fantastic. I have not come across another place like this, it is one of a kind. It was a good night out to have something completely different.

Wow, if you want to be entertained by dancing men wearing leather shorts, funny hats and long socks, pretty ladies with gorgeous smiles and great voices, as well as fabulous german food and some of your favourites then take a visit to The Cookoo. You will walk into an authentic German or Austrian Tavin with all appropriate decor, great music... More

My fiancée and I have been here, once together and several times with others. It was alright..... But I wouldn't describe it as incredible. I agree with some of the other reviews, it's a good night out but for once only. I wouldn't return here regularly. I'm not sure how to describe the atmosphere.. It was warm inside though quite... Not really a place for discerning foodies. It is a smorgasboard and the food quality reflects that. There is copious amounts of food but obviously the style, flair and presentation is absent. A long drive of about 40 minutes to 75 minutes depending on where you come from in Melbourne. Plenty of parking but it is down a steepish driveway... More

What a lovely spot for dinner! The potato soup, seafood salad, garlic prawns and hot buffet are standouts and the berry cheesecake is the best cheesecake in the world. Such a nice Christmas in July atmosphere and very kitsch is cool vibe. Very enjoyable :)

I'm being honest here, if you want a great night out with entertainment and laughs and beer it's an ideal night out. If you are looking for great German food I would look elsewhere. It's $45 a head for the buffet, the pumpkin soup was delicious and so were the sausages. Everything else including dessert very average. The hosts have... More

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" After reading the reviews I had my reservations about going there. But I must say the restaurant is well decorated and gives a very warm and pleasant feeling and it made my day. We were a bus load of people and we set out on a chilly day. As we turned the... More

We have not been to Cuckoo Restaurant for over 10 years as there has been many more interesting restaurants opening up in Melbourne in the last decade. We weren't sure whether it was worth a visit after reading a number of less favourable reviews. However we were pleasantly surprised that the food variety and quality has significantly improved over the... More

This was my first time back to the Cuckoo in a long time and it was so much fun. The food was amazing and there was certainly plenty of it. Would like see a better flow through the smorgasbord, we found the sea food entrées after going through the main course line. Atmosphere was also astounding. The biggest cuckoo clock... More
