Ehhhh!

Ok...to be fair I just spent 4 yrs in England (2 wicked curry houses on each corner). If you need a curry fix, have at it. Food is edible, not expensive. We hit the Saturday lunch buffet. Not horrible; you just don't get the same experience as a sitdown dinner. Naan bread sucked. One nice guy... read more

We are sitting in this restaurant right now. We have been here for over an hour and STILL have no food! Three other families have come in, sat for a while waiting for service, and left. We have seen two "servers" enter the dining area occasionally. I asked twice for a Pepsi and the server responded, "oh sorry, I'm busy."... More

I know Indian food, I come from England where there is an Indian restaurant on every corner. Most chefs in the south dont understand what they are doing, I've tried most places. Sam is from Bangladesh, most UK chefs are from Bangladesh; he understands the food and the spices, however you like it. Trust him he will give you a... More

They make all their food from scratch and it is so delicious! You can choose how spicy you want it to be. They have a nice variety on the menu and the service is also good. I love this place! Best Indian food we have found in Nashville so far!

The food was yummy. Started out with fresh samosas and had a delicious egg plant dish. However, Ricky was our server and he was really great. Very friendly and quick. Coming from managing a hospitality business, I was extremely impressed.

At first, it was really nice. The owner turned on the TV for us and kept us with drinks. We then waited over half an hour for our food. The experience only went downhill after the food arrived. It tasted exactly like jarred tikka masala sauce, but you could tell he had blended it with something, from the menu I... More

Had a chance to try Shagor's food. It was pretty good! Compared to other Indian restaurants that I've enjoyed, theirs is not as spicy or flavorful. You do get a lot for a small price though! Service was quick and friendly. I had the veggie samosas and curry. The samosas are large and filling. They could just use a little... More

I was so looking forward to writing a great review of Shagor. Even more, I had hoped that this Indian restaurant would be our go-to Indian feast since it's easier to get to for us than going to Nashville. The place is decorated nicely and has the appearance of being clean. The smell of Indian spices beckons you to have... More

We used to drive downtown or greenhills for Indian but Shagor is as good and in some ways better than the handful of reliables in Nashville. Shagor dishes are distinct in seasoning, very pungent with generous spices. Dal is my test and Shagor has smooth soft yellow tarkadal. Great lamb. Great salmon. The curries are thick. Atmosphere is decent and... More

We have been hesitant to try this restaurant as it the outside appearance is not very inviting and could use some sprucing up. There was no one there at the time that we went and that concerned us a bit; however, customers of my husband said they really liked it so we decided to give it a go. We were... More
