My partner and I visited the restaurant mid-week and I have nothing negative to say about the place...I only wish I could afford to eat there every week! We ordered Gyoza, Zuke Maguro, Special Tempura, Tonkatsu and Sukiyaki. Every bit of it was devine and was brought out nicely spaced without us having to wait long between each dish. The... More

My husband and I truly enjoyed the sushi boat. Fresh, delicious and reasonably priced...we found it was terrific value. It was so filling that it was all we ordered. Sadly, the service was not a highlight. We were the very first table sat promptly at 6pm. The one girl that looked after us was very snappy from the get-go. Seemed... More

My family of four love this place. One of the best restuarants on the Mornington peninsula. The miso soup is one of the best I've had. The gyoza are perfectly steamed then pan fried. We always get the sushi/sashimi boat that feeds four. The boat consist of tuna, salmon, prawn, squid, and white fish. It is a bit pricey but... More

Our bill for two adults and two kids (who had just an entre each) was $175. This included a bottle of wine ($30). I felt it was quite expensive as there is almost nothing on the menu other than sushi that is gluten free and so we adults mainly had just sushi and sashimi. It's raw fish. I mean, really!... More

Very nice friday evening dinner. Service was attentive and friendly, food was good. Tempura was generous and cooked well. Sushi and sashimi was likewise generous and well presented.

Good food, good service, quirky location. We'll go back! If you're after a treat, order one of the sushi boats :)

Tried to book a table for ten, which they wouldn't accept. Offered us six and four tables next to each other, we reluctantly accepted. When we arrived, the tables were on different levels with a barrier between, not good. On top of that the service was not the best and the food was mediocre.

Rave alert...Kazu recommended by a local and must say I am not a very frequent Japanese food eater. This was terrific. Rocked up without a booking but very early at 6.45pm and was greeted by a fully booked restaurant but most courteous staff. Offered a table if we thought 8pm would see us completed and happy to accept. The food... More

we go to Kazu quite ofter, and the fact you always have to book days in advance speaks volumes for the popularity of this place. The food is always good, if getting a bit pricy! They still BYO wine, but now have a full license with a fair list.
