This restaurant (Innocent Bystander) was certainly crowded and lively on a Sunday afternoon - which probably slowed the service a little. Thankfully, we'd reserved a table so were seated quite quickly. The hectic pace didn't detract from the quality of the dishes - with four different wood-fired pizzas being a stand-out, especially the cotechino sausage. Other favourites were the 'smaller... More

Wine tasting was great, the sales guy was friendly .... Slushy moscato - divine. The food was great. Pizza had a few ingredients but it was flavoursome

I ate here with friends whilst being in Healesville on the Great Vic Bike ride. The place buzzes and suits both a casual diner or someone with more serious intent. It is set in a big hall with the barrel room seen through glass next door. The booze is a strong point with both an extensive range of beers and... More

We have been here often being locals, for lunch or dinner. The last 3 times we have visited for lunch the chef has been looking at his Iphone inbetween cooking! We were surprised seeing the same guy all three times we where there staring and flicking on his Iphone and then whithout washing his hands continuing to cook and prepare... More

We went the last weekend of November 2014. Been there a few times and it is great. We all enjoyed our food, coffee is ok and the service was slower than previously but it was a weekend a busy. Worth going to!

The best time to visit Giant Steps or Innocent Bystander is during the week. The weekend in there is hectic and crowded, for obvious reasons. All wood fired food, thin crust pizzas with genuine Italian ingredients, focaccias, and fresh, fresh fresh. The beer is draft and often brewed on the premises as is the wine developed for this outlet. My... More

Dinner for our group of 9 at Innocent Bystander was great. The service was excellent. Our young waiter was very attentive and friendly. There is a mix of many varied sharing platters, or wood fired pizzas, which are fresh and quite unique. Dessert can be selected from their own range of home baked bakery items, or other nice choices. Their... More

Ate at Giant Steps a week ago. My wife and I both ordered pizzas and they were great. These are not your typical pizzas from a pizza shop they are all unique and having tried many over time they are all outstanding. They are not inexpensive though! The wine choice there is also wonderful and the staff are young, keen,... More

We live locally and love the local's discount on a Thursday night. We come so often, the staff have become our friends and know our table! And fortunately the menu changes regularly enough for us to keep coming back - we love it.

This is a big, modern-ish, acoustically bright place. Lots of beautiful looking breads and pastries at the entrance (available for take-away). We went in for a simple breakfast on a Monday morning and it was pretty empty, so were seated quickly. Breakfast menu is not too long (a plus) and had both muesli and granola that we were looking for.... More
