Walked past this place for a few days without thinking too much about it. We went there for a meal on our last night in Halls Gap and it was very nice - nicely set out, good range of beers and very nice food. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dining out after an exhausting day we enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks. The veal scalloping maybe had a bit too much lemon taste but the meat was very tender.

We had a family get together. Seven of us. Very pleasant atmosphere. Tables spaciously placed. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

My family and I had dinner at this restaurant tonight and I must say it was pretty disappointing. We weren't greeted when we came in, and kind of lingered awkwardly in the entrance whilst we worked out where we needed to go to find out where our table we had booked was. My partner then waited quite a long time... More

We ate on two evenings as a couple when we ordered our meal and drinks at the bar and twice as members of a large group with a reservation when full table service was provided. The bistro is family friendly and many children attend the first sitting at 6 p.m. Service is not inner-urban speedy but then guests are usually... More

what's all the hooha about this place the food is average and extremly overpriced for a pub meal. You can get much better quality food elsewhere in the region for a lot less. I do think it benifits from it's central position.

Terrible food. The bar staff are extremely unfriendly, no interest in serving people and look tired and lazy.

I had a nice Chicken Parma - good size and fresh salad. Fries were ok I prefer thicker chips with a Parma but overall was a very good meal. My wife had the grilled barramundi. It was fresh but disappointing as it consisted of 2 tail fillets disguised to look like one big fillet. The flavour was good as were... More

After driving 2.5hrs we were looking for a good pub meal. We stopped at the Kookaburra Hotel and after being seated were surprised by the pricey menu. $24 for chicken schnitzel we thought was a bit pricey but if it was a good one it wouldn't matter. I had an entree pasta (pork and veal ragout) for $19. The schnitzel... More
