We were a little hesitant to dine at Gigi's given some of the recent negative reviews but fortunately our dining experience on a quiet Friday evening was most enjoyable. We were quickly shown to a table, given menus and drink orders taken. The waitress apologised for not giving us bread and came back with complimentary duck rillettes and olives. We... More

Came here with colleagues from work for dinner and had the degustation. All five courses were matched with local wines and complemented each meal perfectly. The squid ink linguine was amazing as was the crispy skinned pork belly!! The girls on the floor were great too, they were friendly and very attentive. Its a nice little restaurant with some of... Six of us lunched at this restaurant yesterday. Ambience was fair, service was atrocious (in fact waitress appeared not to be entirely 'with it'), menu was more akin to that of a cafe rather than restaurant, food was passable, wine list had to be seen to be believed! No bottled wine under $50 a bottle and prices went up to... More

My family of sixteen people came to celebrate my 50th Birthday last night at Gigi's of Beechworth. What was supposed to be a great night of fine dining and a fitting end to my special day turned into a farcical event. Where do I even start? We were advised by Anna (the hostess) before we arrived that we would need... More

From the very start Gigi's impressed. A great selection of local wines, mixed in with some beers from the brewery across the road, let us know that we were definitely going to taste some of Beechworth's local produce. The well presented and well spoken staff took our order and, in what seemed like barely minutes, we received our appetizer; pulled... More

Had a beautiful dinner here with a few friends Friday evening, and was pleasantly surprised by the well constructed menu featuring many local ingredients, the staff were lovely and very attentive and the food was fantastic! The taste plate is recommended Yum!! I was surprised to see a few negative reviews, I will be back.

Gigi's unfortunately seem to rest on their laurels. They have a great location in the middle of the high street, the menu is appetising, the interior is warm and comfortable and they boast a series of Good Food credits on their window. However reality sets in once seated. We were made to feel unwelcome, the restaurant was empty and they... More

Not worth the wait! It took over 40 minutes to get bacon and eggs! There were only three tables full of people! The kitchen staff were fighting, there were no apologies for the wait! The eggs were over cooked! All in all, a waste of money, so don't waste your time!

We had a booking for 10 people on a Saturday night.their were 2 other bookings of 12 and and 80th Birthday booking in a private room in the rear. We arrived at 6.30pm and had ordered by 7.00pm. We then faced Hugh delays . Some nibbles were served but no main meals were delivered until 10 .30pm-11pm. Some tentative apologies... More

The food was good, but a problem in the kitchen meant that it took over 3 hrs to get our main course. It would have helped if we were told what was happening rather than just left wondering when we would eat.
