I'm a local and I remember spending a lot of time here when I was a kid but since getting older the Beechworth Bakery has lost a bit of its magic. The food is great but the decor is a bit dated now. The staff are friendly enough although some could use a couple of customer service tips but I... More

I'm a lemon meringue pie fiend, however the subtle tang of the lemon meringue, softy silky meringue and most perfect short crust pastry blew me away.

Old faithful.. Same reliable taste. Delicious sweets and well made pies. Great range of freshly made sandwiches and rolls too to suit every taste.

The Beechworth Bakery is worth a visit. We had breakfast in the café with bottleless cups of tea. I had the ham, cheese and tomato croissant toasted and my partner had the Ned Kelly pie. We then bought a long donut filled with fresh (real) cream, and a Bavarian pastry again with real cream and custard. Pies to take home... More

We came here on a cold and wet Sunday afternoon, it was understandably busy but we still got served quickly and managed to find a spot upstairs to eat our tasty treats. They have the biggest range of sweets, pastries, pies etc. I've ever seen. Will definitely be back

A must when visiting Beechworth. The Ned Kelly pie filled me up for hours with its rich meat and egg inside. I also loved the little Apple Pies. My husband loved their Pork and Fennel sausage roll as well.

After sitting down and then getting up 3 different times to collect our order (not ideal), cockroaches were running around on the floor. This well renowned bakery took some time to build a reputation but what sort of reputation. I found it very over rated, coffee burnt flavour and was filled to the brim so you spilt it all over... Food was sensational as always. My only complaint were the display tables that took up valuable table space, and the dirty cleanup trolley left next to the tables. I would have tried for space upstairs if I wasn't worried about carrying my coffee cup up the stairs.

We had tasty potato and leek soup, together with freshly baked wholemeal rolls, and took with us their famous vanilla slices and bee stings. No good for the waistline, but tasted great!.
