We have eaten at most of the Beechworth bakeries and love the range and good quality of the food so this one was no exception. Our only mistake here was to try and come in for lunch at 12.30 as the whole dining area was full, even upstairs. Being so full and the service was a bit chaotic and it... More

Used to European Bakeries, this one doesnt really wow me. It is very busy during lunch times and weekends and for this reason, I like sitting upstairs for some peace and quiet. This is until screaming kids start playing in the little pen. I only go to this bakery because my son likes the Beesting. The staff, however, are all... More

Will have to start with a negative, their order system is atrocious. They should really invest in a number system so that people get served in turn and it wasn't even that busy! We had a vanilla slice and a jam tart which were delicious, coffee and chai latte very nice too. Plenty of room to sit either in or... More

Some excellent items, some not. Disappointed in the pastry, not enough butter used. Nice people, and large, clean dining room. Open until 7pm.

Be prepared for a crowd at this very popular bakery. It took us about 20 minutes to order at lunch time weekday. Lovely selection of cakes and pies. My favourite was the chicken and leek pie, really tasty. The pastry is to die for. Not the cheapest by any means, pies average out at $5 and cake around $4 .... More

Being a country town bakery, I expected friendlier service and tastier food. This unfortunately is not what we received. There was confusion in where to order what as the staff just moved around and didn't serve who was next in line. We had a steak and mushroom pie and it was very average.

Service, variety of food. Breads excellent. The owner is living proof of a successful operator. Sheer hard work and foresight. Well done. Music on the upstairs verandah a real treat.

You can't go to Beechworth without visiting the bakery. My chicken pie was large and filling, the shared beesting delicious and the coffee good.

This bakery has so much hype attached to it, you would expect the servings to be blue ribbon products! We ate here for lunch mid week and the place was full and doing a roaring trade! What we ate (pies, cake and bread) was average and as good a product can be found elsewhere. There are books for sale here... More
