La Scala on Jersey has embarked on an exciting new chapter, with the talented Massimo Mele as Executive Chef. Massimo draws on his childhood influences from Naples to deliver both his modern take on the originals as well as traditional Italian dishes. La Scala on Jersey brings to life his ethos of Tutti A Tavola - 'everyone to the table'. It's a place for every occassion, to share food and wine with friends and family, for a casual dinner or for a special celebration. At La Scala on Jersey, the true Italian feasting and sharing style of dining is encouraged, but if you fancy a bowl of delicious pasta (or anything else for that matter) all to yourself - that's ok too.

Satisfying

Went to La Scala last night and thought it worthy of a review. We shared our entrees which were spiced calamari and a burrata and tomato salad. The calamari was not spicy but tasty and fresh all the same and the salad was also good although not the softest burrata. For mains we had the porcini and... read more

If you're an entertainment card member don't eat here. You'll pay $10 per bottle of wine for corkage (they won't even open the bottles) and then they refuse to honour the 25% discount from the card - outrageous! As has been said by others, the staff lack personality and the food is ok at best. With so many other options... More

We had the $30 midweek meal of homemade pici pasta duck and porcini ragu, shaved parmesan and goats milk ricotta. It was delicious and the combination of flavours worked. Included in the price was a glass of Pinot - what's not to like? This was exceptional value. In addition kids 12 and under eat for free!!! There is a good... More

Once you get up the stairs, this place is a delight. Warm welcome, good Negroni, delicious food, genuinely warm professional service, comfortable and hospitable. It's all a restaurant should be. We had a ball!

I must preface this review by saying that this is only the second one I've done-the last one was also because I was so very disappointed that I felt compelled to warn others. I've eaten at La Scala once previously with a group of friends when the experience was a very different one to tonight. The first time around the... More

We booked the private dining room for my husbands surprise birthday party. The restaurant staff were fantastic to deal with in organising the menus, the room and the wine list. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was dealt with easily and positively. We opted for the $65 set menu, and were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious,... More

We visited for a friend's special birthday - just like the time before. This time the food & service were great. After the previous experience, I was a little apprehensive. All the dishes were delicious and served at the right temperature. Exactly what you would expect of a restaurant with somewhat high-end prices. It would be nice of the front... More

This is said to be fine dining modern Australian Italian. In all the confusion, look out for waiters who ignore you and wine prices that bite you. My best tip is to eat there, if you must, on a Monday night when you can take along your best red and enjoy paying only for the food. However, that said, my... More

The friendly greeting we received set the tone for the evening. Really pleasant smiling service, with someone around at just the right time. We enjoyed the food very much, in particular our shared plates. Next time I think we will order more share plates and skip the main. We thought the wine by the glass was a little expensive, so... We were invited to a birthday party here and were given the banquet menu. What a surprise each course was- delightfully conceived and delicious dishes that were irresistible! So much variety and wonderful flavours! The decor is great with the most amazing lady's loo upstairs (the ladies couldn't help but take us guys on a tour). A very, very nice... More
