Last night six of us went here for dinner. I had checked the menu before online and was looking forward to selecting the pan-fried snapper fillet, shellfish and saffron bisque, diamond clams, Yamba prawns, calamari and winter vegetables. Two of the others in our party ordered the same and enjoyed it but maybe I got a dud dish as the... More

What a disappointment! We waited over an hour for our meals to arrive. My lamb shoulder was tough and full of gristle, the sticky date pudding was a rubbery lump and I tasted garlic in the ice cream. The pub really need to lift their game.

Met up with a friend for dinner and drinks and we were very pleased with the whole experience. The food was very well cooked, selection of menu for dinner and wines was great. The service and attitude of the staff was superb.Big thankyou

We all know that the Lord Dudley has a great atmosphere as an old pub in Sydney. No change there. However, I don't know what has happened, (new Chef ?) but the quality of the menu (and food) just took a great leap forward. Brilliant.

We had a Christmas in July event here and were quoted $50 per head for two courses. This consisted of a starter of a couple of pieces of gem lettuce a walnut or two, and a small amount goats cheese. The main was a small portion of Risotto. On top of the this the pub then decided to add $5... More

Let's start with the positives about The Lord Dudley: The limited menu is reasonably priced (I guess, for Woollahra) and the food OK. We had the salmon and prawns, plus a bowl of French fries. The wait staff are polite and helpful. Now for the not-so-positives: The last time I went to the LD was the early 1980s, and it... More

A very ordinary English style pub in up-market Woollahra. Great if you are an English expatriate who cannot bear Australian seafood or Asian cuisine that abound in the area, but otherwise very ordinary and unimaginative. Service friendly and dining room comfortable. It depends on your taste.

I said 4 stars but my son, a budding gourmandiser talked down my exuberance. Wagyu beef cheek, shoulder of lamb and streamed broccoli. The lamb was served with couscous and served medium rare. The beef slow cooked and falling apart as it should. The staff are friendly and engaging. The menu doesn't tend to change all that much. A pleasant... More

The fish came with a small portion of chips for $29.50. I am obviously disapointed and won't come back for their food.
