Disappointing

I think this restaurant has become a victim of its own success. Having eaten there over the years, I really found the quality of the food and the service was not good this time, particularly given the prices. My friend got the Doyles selection and was not impressed with the quality of the food... read more

As I was in Watsons Bay for the day and had done a good walk, I decided it would be nice to treat myself to Salt and Pepper Squid and chips from Doyles on the Wharf. It wasn't too busy when I ordered around 2pm and you have to pay by cash. There's two queues to order food and the... More

For an iconic name like Doyles, this place serves a very poor calamari. Tasteless and oily. Avoid if you want to keep the dream alive...

We loved it! My husband and I sauntered over for lunch and were given an upstairs balcony table with the most fabulous view. We started with a co kts il then ordered our meals which were to die for. I had the scallop pie which was just delicious. We would definitely recommend it and can't wait to go back shin... More

Best fresh sea food at reasonable prices. The best prawn rolls anywhere, not to say the battered fish is not good, it is great. Dislikes, the long lines waiting for the food, it is so popular.

After a pleasant historical stroll along the beach at Camp Cove, I took my visiting sister and husband to the Doyles Wharf Cafe. We all enjoyed delicious fresh Tempura Whiting, with a wonderful view of the Harbour Bridge. My meal was made even more memorable when I left my handbag under the table, and raced back the next morning to... More

We'd been to Doyles on the Beach a couple of years ago so on this visit we thought we'd have some simple fish and chips from the takeaway for lunch - how depressing. We had the mixed fish and calamari box; the squid did not seem to have been prepared properly as each ring had what was effectively an inedible... More

Worth the drive, frenetic parking and the price, these fish and chips are so fresh, well cooked and thoroughly enjoyable. Ample seating space along the wharf or in the park. Great area for kids to run around as well as fenced playground close by. The tempura whiting fish was some of the best ever eaten!

It is a nice spot to have fish and chips or anything off the menu, we arrived at Doyles malnourished after the Rose Bay to Watsons Bay walk

We read about the famous Doyles but didn't feel like spending $100 per person at the restaurant so we had the takeaway on the beach. We had the barramundi fish and chips and fresh oysters. The fish was cooked nicely. The chips got all soggy because of the salad. Why did they even bother putting the salad there? It was... More
