Always a must .....

An absolute must each time we visit Sydney is a trip on the ferry across to Watsons Bay to enjoy the best fish and chips in Australia! Freshly cooked they are simply scrumptious. A very poplular place no matter what time of year you visit Sydney - and often its extremely hard to find a seat - we... read more

The venue is idyllic, right on the waterfront with a view across the bay and the skyline of Sydney on the horizon. It does not get any better than this! The weather was bright and hot and we sat outside under the awning ideal for fish and wine! The menu is impressive. A nice touch is that each menu is... More

On a day around Sydney we ended up here for lunch and we're not disappointed. We had asked for someplace local and this is where we needed up. The place is busy but well staffed with an excellent food and beverage menu. The fish and chips were excellent, the soft shell crab sliders were very well done, and their salads... More

We went twice to Doyles, portions are very generous (even too much) and food is great ! Perfect for a sunny lunch on the Watson's Bay wharf. Try the Fisherman's basket, but you might share one for two people, as it's huge ! Love the secret sauce as well.

Good view ,the barramundi was ok but the chips and salad was a bit boring. The salad looked more like seaweed. Plenty of seating. Good ferry service but time your ordering well to avoid being swamped by the hordes from the ferry.

Took the late afternoon ferry fro Circular Quays in Sydney to Watsons Bay. We had fish and chips at the takeaway and ate them looking out over the wonderful bay to the Sydney skyline beyond. Wonderful location, very good fish and chips with a beer from the bar.

Maybe I was expecting too much. But when you say "Doyles", you think of crispy battered fish and crunchy chips (well I do anyway). Our group of 7 had soggy chips, rubbery fish and complementary sweet chilli sauce (though tartare would have been more appropriate). Servers were busy, looked tired and not engaging with their paying customers at all. I... More

You can't go to Watson's Bay and not try the fish and chips at Doyles. The fish is so fresh and great tasting. Don't be put off by the queues as they have a great service to get you through quickly. You can book seating at there restaurants. There is seating throughout the park to eat your food or take... More

After a very pleasant ferry ride from Circular Quay my daughter and I had a most enjoyable lunch from Doyles. We had fish and chips that were extremely well priced, sitting under a very large leafy tree in the park adjacent to the shed. Perfect on a 32 degree day!. This is a well set up little business. Queue, order... More

Great to be able to enjoy Doyles' excellent fish and chips sitting down on the pier watching the world go by. Food was tasty, piping hot and freshly cooked. They've got the formula just right and everyone was happy queuing for their food and having the option to take away or eat at the Wharf tables. A must for anyone... More
