Was OK. $18 served one small adult, 2 kids, although we were not very hungry. Seating set up is good though for take away. Stay away from Watsons Bay on weekends or enjoy endless ferry passengers..

Let's be serious: you come here for the location, the overall experience, and the view -- not the food. The fried fish was okay, but not as good as any number of other takeaway places throughout Sydney. The salt and pepper squid was a disappointment -- although the squid itself wasn't overcooked, the batter was completely mushy and not crisp... More

Our family of 4 ate lunch here, having previously enjoyed a meal at Doyles on the Beach a few years ago. What a disappointment today! Even our 2 hungry teens wouldn't finish the tasteless fish, chips & calamari. Dousing the bland flavour in tomato sauce didn't help, as they appear to "water" it down. (Certainly not like any tomato sauce... More

Every time I travel to Sydney, Doyles on the Beach is a 'must do' on my itinerary, the enjoyment starts at Circular Quay where you board a fast Ferry or the regular Sydney Harbour Ferry, the trip across the water is a delight. On arrival at Watsons bay, it is a leisurely stroll along the Wharf to Doyles. The Menu... More

Doyles has three outlets in Sydney. The restaurants at the Ocean Terminal on the Rocks and at Watson's Bay are very good. The cheaper, take-out or eat-in place on the ferry wharf trades a bit on it name. Ordering at the bar can be (and was), slow at 21 minutes. Ambience is nil and the cardboard plates ands very cheap... I've only eaten here once but it was very good! I recommend you look out your picnic blanket and park yourself on the grass with some seafood from Doyle's and take in the views!

I like Watsons Bay and having fish and chips or a picnic- but the take away fish and chips are over-priced and not the best- batter can be too greasy. Try Dee Why for the best

It is order at one place and eventually food is brought out to your number. Gone are the glory days of table service for the now (at Best) bistro effect. It used to be a pleasure to take visitors there but now i avoid it like the plague- it has the atmosphere of a food race at the local football... More

We are staying in Sydney and has some free time so we took the ferry over to Watsons Bay Wharf. We arrived early so we took the walk and saw the beach and the lighthouse. Everyone says if you go to Watsons Bay you go to the Doyles. We didn't think that it was worth it to pay $41 AUD... More

I'm not wasting my time on giving this disgrace of a food establishment publicity. The food was inedible to the point four of us left it. The chips were stale, the calamari was frozen and like hard rubber cooked in what tasted like week old oil. Intact that's all the whole meal tasted of. This kind of food shows contempt... More
