The location definitely has the wow factor, sitting at a table a stones throw from the beach overlooking the bay is fantastic and could be idyllic if only the food was better. It's not bad just normal, average food with higher prices but I guess you pay for the location. Our starter was ok, the fish and chips ....fish was fine... More

We have been several times over the past 3 years ( largely because of international friends) .. Service is excellent , view stunning but the food is equal to a good pub meal and they haven't changed the menu in that time . In saying this it's worth one visit but request a table outside , drink little , then... More

Worth the ferry ride to Watson Bay which is scenic by itself. The food was delicious but pricey. You can pay less at the outside venue but it is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service. Being on the water is a plus.

Visited recently - first time in several years - and totally underwhelmed by the standard of the food here. I knew I had made a mistake when booking when I asked if they still had their "Winter Special" available. It was. When we booked in we were told they had a lovely window table, upstairs, for us - it was... More

Over the last 25 years I have frequented this restaurant many times with lots of overseas guests because it is on their guidebook list of places to go. Today I feel the place is in need of brightening up. It used to be good value and reasonably priced food and wines. Today it is an expensive fish and chips experience... More

We didn't have a long time in Sydney, but like every time before we stopped into Doyles. It never disappoints. We had really great service and found the staff to be very knowledgeable and on top of things. It's true about the prices but I don't find it too bad myself. The food is excellent as are the cocktails. We... More

As our last meal in Sydney this would have been difficult to beat. A seafood platter for two with their house white wine was perfect. Sitting beach-side on a sunny mid-winter's day with a panoramic view of the city and bridge was really wonderful.

Five of us booked a water taxi from Sydney Harbor to Doyles which was a great start to the evening, as the view is iconic. I had the Doyles mixed plate to start, and the portions are BIG. Stuffed jumbo prawns, oysters & calamari. I'd describe the food as gutsy and was very fresh, not massively refined, but without that... More

Located right on the beach the restaurant has a perfect location. Went there for dinner so could not admire the views much but the ambiance at the restaurant was good for special occasion celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries etc. The service was average- nothing out of the ordinary. The quantity of the food served was huge and good enough for a... More
