No kids fish and chips meal, so you have to pay for adults potion (which is too much for a 4 year old) Plus, make sure you bring plenty of cash as they don't take card payments. And after all of that, it's just fish and chips like anywhere else. That said, they do a selection of fresh seafood as... More

One of the finest, freshest and tastiest seafood menus you will find anywhere in the world. Atmosphere also good sitting on edge of Watsons bay with its boats, sand and broader views. The more mature waitress serving in the original dining room could do with some customer service training. Not that sge was in anyway rude, just surprisingly abrupt and... More

It's very hard when you dine at Doyles (absolutely book a table on the veranda and if there isn't one on the day you're wanting then wait for another day) not to be completely seduced by the location. The view is spectacular and the proximity of the beach and the water are about as good as it gets anywhere on... More

This place was recommended to us by every Australian we met while on an an Australian cruise. Take the Watson's Bay Ferry and enjoy the best seafood ever at Doyles on the Beach! We both had fish (John Dory) and chips, which were the best we'd ever had. The food of other diners looked wonderful, as well! I don't think... More

I went to eat seafood, and really gorge. I was not disappointed. I pushed the boat out by ordering the seafood platter for two. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed myself rotten. I was upstairs and there was this lovely cool breeze going through. I preferred eating up there, downstairs was a bit busy. There are also balcony tables which... More

We were seated inside which I was a bit disappointed with at first. But once we had observed the busy path in front of the restaurant we were quite glad we could observe the view in peace. Menu is obviously fish, not extensive but enough. We ordered a cocktail to enjoy watching the spectacular sunset. We then ordered our food.... More

Stunning location, great food and service, excellent wines and lovely ambience. Up market dining on the beachfront looking up the harbour towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge area - a great place for overseas tourists. Seafood is their specialty, but other foods excellent too. Wine list is good. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating. Reservations are recommended. Close parking can... More

Having been going to Doyles since the mid/late 1950s it has become predicatble if not quite what it used to be used the watchful eye of 'Ma Doyle' be it in Rose Bay or Watson's Bay. The fish is fresh and the service variable- sometimes great; sometimes impossible to find a server

With a location on the beach there is always a danger that it seems more than it is. However the food, service and atmosphere are all perfectly melded for a superb experience. The food and wine whilst sat on the beach make this a must visit! The seafood platter is unbelievable!
