Excellent food and service

We have eaten here many times. On Saturday night we had friends over and ordered take away. The food arrived quickly and was excellent!

A local place for us. The food was terrific (I cook Thai food and have done courses in Thailand) and it was cheap. Service charming. I prefer it to the new and trendy Monkey King which is nearby but exceptionally noisy. This is a quality, no-fuss joint with good outdoor dining in summer. Well done.

We have regularly enjoyed Cha’s since its inception more than a decade ago, when Mint’s elder sister (now at Avalon) started with a humble beginning. The menu has improved vastly to cater to wider tastes over the years by expanding its offerings. Whenever we have a family occasion or local or overseas friends (including our now adult children and even... More

We had passed by this little side street restaurant many times each year when visiting Newport but had never had a meal. We made the effort on this trip and were very pleased we did. Small tables and great atmosphere and helpful friendly staff. I am not a pig fan of Thai food but the dishes were more fusion than... More

Great fresh, quick quality food. Little noisy so take your BYO wine. In the warmer months you can sit outside, not so noisy.

This is one of the good eateries in Newport, and there are plenty of them. The food (see photo) is good and I have found it to be of consistent quality. For me it is a local eatery and I can certsinly recommend it to anybody who lives in Newport or is visiting the area. Good authentic Thai food.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere, Always a great deal on value. Mint and her staff are full of smiles and always a pleasure to see. We rarely eat anywhere else. Lunch specials are even better value.

Take a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy some delicious food from the extensive menu. We had 5 different starters for less than $40 and will be back real soon to try some more....👍
