Bavarian Bier Cafe

We just popped in for a drink on our way home from the city. A lively place to watch the world go by as you have a drink. A busy place as travelers arrive via ferry and a great view as well. Would not want to stay too long though.

We had dined here before however this time I was feeling totally ripped off. Every side was additional & then tried to charge us 1.5% for a "debit" card (bank doesn't charge this!!) Talk about trying to make a penny any way they could. Will NOT be trying it again.

Love the beers here! Especially the mango beer! The Schnitzels are to die for. Great Bavarian fare here!

Very disappointing.... We have dined here many times over the past 5 years and something has changed, and not for the better. The service is poor, the food was very unappealing and the 'new' menu uninspired to say the least. We will not be visiting this once very good restaurant any time soon. Disappointed!!!

On a recent visit to Manly, we stopped here for a beer and a glass of wine before getting the ferry back. There is a good drinks selection and it is a lovely spot to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. We didn't eat but the food looked good.

I've dined at the Barvarian many times but this time only had time for an afternoon business drink. Nice choice of beers and good service as usual. A slight oddity now that paying by credit card at the table incurs a fee, and we were told to go pay at the bar instead, where it took a while to get... More

Sydney on Christmas Day and to find a pub open for a lunchtime drink was hard both in the Rocks and at Manly. Here was the saviour, and not suprisingly it was busy both on the beer front and food. Excellent service and the staff had made a great effort with their outfits. It is a good place to go... More

We gave this spot the benefit of the doubt so we tried it again. Server was a little too friendly bordering fake & blamed us & sprinkled a few swear words when we drank shots that were delivered to our table mistakenly. We told the server who delivered it that we didn't order it. And our server charged us for... More

We had lunch at this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone visiting Manly. They have a great selection of meals at a reasonable price, the staff are very attentive and are happy to cater for individual needs and the meals are delicious. A great place to have a meal if you are at Manly Wharf.
