It's quite OK

I’ve been here a number of times over the years. I've also had a few take-aways. The restaurant always seems to be a busy and crowded place, quite often filled with students from the university nearby. Parking can often be had nearby on the street but sometimes it’s difficult to find anything... read more

We have been going to Dong Dong Noodles regularly for many years now. It is cheap, fresh and very tasty. The shredded flamingo beef is a family favourite as well as the salt & pepper squid, half duck and egg fried rice. They have a private room upstairs for large family groups.

Always have had a great meal at the Dong Dong. The food is great and staff friendly. It is BYO so makes for a cheap meal.

Food is fresh and tasty. Prices are very good which makes this restaurant a good place to visit. Service is prompt although not the friendliest.

We go to this place a lot. If friendly service is not a requirement for you, and all you want is great food at a budget price, then this is the place. Everything is very fresh and tasty. My favourites are the Hot and Sour Soup, Deep Fried Chicken Wings, and Sang Dong Chicken. If you get there at 7pm... More

We had a great Chinese dinner there (lemon chicken, fried prawns, beef noodles...). Food is really good and cheap, even if the place doesn't look like much.

Dong Dong is a Kensington institution that produces unspectacular but pleasant meals. It's popular with local students. Décor is uninspiring but clean. I have generally been satisfied with this place. It's a safe choice. There are more tables out the back, which are not visible from the main dining room.

I've also been going here for about 20 yrs. I've been to the surrounding 20+ restaurants but also seen them close down & new ones pop up & not last. Dong is always consistent & good value, authentic Hong Kong style casual dining. The salt pepper chicken wings, soup noodles with duck/wonton/pork chops are always favorites! It's cleaner than the...
