Stylish restaurant

If you want what is worth for the money try Bacar restaurant will keep you smiling as long as it not an event night. The food is cocked to your liking and the desert are amazing. Most of the waiters smile and look after you well when you are dining there. The best way to go there is by train... read more

Admittedly we ate there on New Years eve, but the restaurant appeared to be only less than half full. The staff appeared to be not wanting to be there, and flat, indiffernt service. 30 minutes and 3 reminders to get our pre-dinner (ordinary and very expensive) cocktails. We were asked 3 times in that time if we had decided on... More

Last time we ate here 8 months ago it was very good. This time we waited quite awhile for our order of 2 Rare Steaks which when they came were more like medium well done. We sent them back and waited again though not so long this time! They were very good. Apologies plus not being charged for our bottle... More

We dined here one evening while staying at the Pullman Hotel. The food was beautifully presented with great attention to detail, tasted delicious and the service was excellent. We also had breakfast in the restaurant on 2 days, and were impressed with the quality and variety of food offered. Would recommend as a great place to eat if in Olympic... More

Opportunistically dined here before a Neil Diamond concert. We were very lucky to get a table as some reserved guests did not show up. I believe that it shows the measure of an organisation the way that they handle situations like this. We asked if there was a table free, were told not at the moment, however someone was late... We had a buffet breakfast which had a fresh array of hot and cold food and great coffee. And for lunch we had a stunningly delicious beef tenderloin matched with a wonderful Argentian Malbec.

We have eaten here on several occasions. We can find nothing to fault. Excellent food and service. Easily the best restaurant in the area.

The food is very expensive. The gnocchi tasted like play-dough, the sweet-potato "puree" was like a soup and a strange combination of sickly sweet and too salty. The "tomato and mozzarella salad" was mostly olives (!!) [we were unable to finish either of these dishes despite being very hungry]. The bread and the amuse bouche were the best bits. Sydney... We were looking for somewhere out of the heat to relax and have lunch prior to the NRL Grand Final. Found Bacar on trip advisor...$120.00 per head for a set menu lunch. I had pork belly followed by chefs cut eye fillet an a cheese board to finish. My son had salmon followed by Duck and a desert to finish.... More
