Reliable Double Bay takeaway

We stay in Double Bay several times each year and order takeaway from Spice Market every time. Our particulate favourite is fish choo chee, which is deep fried fish served in a red curry sauce. The kids love the satay sticks and the green chicken curry. Although it's possible to eat in at Spice... read more

had chicken laksa on lunch special, nothing fancy. Noodles doughy and very one dimensional. Like a frozen meal. Also bought a pad kee mao to go and looks good through the box. Long established place but fails on consistency after coming here for 17 yrs.

I'm sure half the people who review this restaurant so positively have never eaten really good Thai food. Thai food should not be so sweet that that's the only lingering flavour. It should be sour, spicy, salty lots of things. Have just had home delivery and all three of us have found it too awful to eat. Tom Yum Goong... More

I ordered the Flying Wok fish and the fish was all soggy as it was sitting under all the sauce and veggies. Boring veggies mainly consisting of carrot and onion and hardly any broccoli or green veggies! The chilli jam and cashew nut veggie stir fry was equally as boring with no green veggies in sight and the tofu was... More

I go here on a regular basis because I only have a short time for lunch. They are super quick, I'm in and out the door in half'n'hour. Thank you, keep up the great work!

Whether you enjoy masaman curry, pad thai, or laksa, the tastes at the Spice Market are authentic and fresh. The food and the service are excellent and good value as well.

Small restaurant with few tables close together but the food is to die for. Freshly cooked and generous portions great tastes. They do BYO and a lot of carry outs

Took pot luck on this little place as I don't know the area very well......walked right past it the first time! Food and service were fabulous and the staff friendly and helpful. BYO with some dishes a bit different from some of the Thai food we usually see here. Tables are quite close to each other as it was a... More

I have been going to this restaurant for 20 years , they have been there this long for a reason . Best Thai food in Sydney . The lamb and pumpkin curry is a dish you expect at a Hatted Restaurant , Banana leaf salad is beautifully presented and amazingly tasty and fresh . If you eat here its guaranteed... More

It's a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant with just a few tables and a busy take-away. Everything was hot, fresh, flavourful and delicious! Friendly service and the food comes in just minutes. Sure wish we lived there so we could go regularly!
