Memorable Indian

I have been coming to this restaurant, on and off, with more or less the same group of people every few months or so for 4 years. It just gets better every time. There are two or three staples always ordered which is the butter chicken, palak paneer with either chicken or the vegetarian version and... read more

The sadness that befell me with the loss (albeit a long time ago) of Curry Bazaar, Crows Nest, was one I thought I would never overcome. True, Shehnai filled a gap but now that it has gone I return once more to Cumin and I was not disappointed. I can judge an Indian Restaurant by the quality of the naan... More

We make our own dry roasted curry powders at home - so we rarely go out for curry for fear of getting something less than we can make at home. To our delight we had a great meal at Cumin. It is well worth a visit in our view.

Coming from England, finding a good Indian over here is a rare find, but Cumin in Crows Nest is one of the best I've found in Sydney so far. I love spicy food with good flavours and this is what this restaurant does well. It was relatively busy when we arrived but we managed to get a table no problem... More

This place was amazing! It was packed when we arrived but they found us a table with ease. Service was so prompt and attentive. The food was fabulous. We liked that the menu was so excited (lots of exclamation points)! The whole feel of the place was great. Loved it. The whole package!!

Really enjoyed our dinner and appreciated how accomodating they were for us. I'm vegan and they adapted a few dishes for me. Food was really tasty and service was great. Will definitely be back!

We turned up without a booking on a Saturday night (around 7pm) and while the place was reasonably busy, we were able to get a table (for two). We have been here before - though probably not for about a year - and the food is just as good as every other time. What makes this place special is not... More

The owners are so humble and so warm it feels like home. Everyone who works there is very welcoming and accommodating. The food is just beautiful - gorgeous flavours, distinct - yet not over powering filling but not heavy. We did 5 weeks in India - the food at Raavi's is defiantly the best that Sydney has to offer! Amazing... More

I searched TA for a restaurant in Crows Nest to accomodate our family. The reviews attracted me. I can confirm them to be correct. The food is fresh and the meat dishes the best we have found in Sydney for texture and flavour. It is obviously run with pride.
