Excellent Tapas

We love our tapas and this was a first visit to this place. We were not let down, all dishes were excellent - garlic prawns, calamari, potatoes, spicy eggplant, lamb skewers and meat balls. Prawns were the best so we had a second helping. Service excellent and friendly. Will be back

For a very reasonably priced, and deliciously cooked meal covering vegetarian and non-vege options you really can't go past La Sangria near the Town Hall on Darling Street. From the calamari to the churros, the rabbit to the eggplant ragout.. every tapas dish was clearly served with love and attention to flavor. The jug of sangria was the perfect accompaniment.... Hands down best tapas I have had! Definitely try the eggplant entree! And the chick pea entree is a must!! Every dish taste authentic- the only thing I would avoid is the blue eyed fish!

This is an honest family restaurant that has been going for 11 years within the same family, so a stayer as far as restaurants go and I can certainly see why. The food is fresh and beautiful. The owner is passionate about his food & his wine list too. If you are stuck for choice, just ask him and he... More

The tapas style menu is to die for. My favourite dish is the lamb skewer, the meat is very well marinated and tender. Most of the menu items won't disappoint you. Perfect venue for a catch up with friends.

Dined here on Saturday night with three friends. Ordered a range of dishes and asked for them to be staggered. Which did not happen they all came at one time and the plates were piling. Unfortunately all the dishes were tasteless apart from the garlic prawns. Churros were dry and did not taste like others I've enjoyed. Won't be back... More

After having a fabulous meal in a Greek restaurant in Balmain, my husband and I felt like dessert. After walking from one end of Balmain to the other, La Sangria drew our attention with it's Spanish Churros con Chocolate at $10.50 on the menu. We were quickly seated inside and brought glasses of water. I asked the waitress to see... More
