Good enough

It was a decent place; the service was a little slow. Nothin special; I would not say it was special. A family place; not memorable, but decent enough for a meal.

Foods pretty tasty,, but stingy portions. Got a takeaway and the dish had four shrimps in, come on! That's not a meal! Need more!

I had the shrimp with garlic and sides of tostones ans platinos. The shrimp were over cooked and tasted rubbery. The tostones were perfect greaseless and crunchy the platinos were good too. My son had a Miami sandwich which he stated was just ok. He ordered potao sticks and liked them

I went with my family during New Year's week. We come to South Florida a few times a year. We went to the beach and stopped in for a meal. We sat down. There were only two other tables being served at the time. We asked for a menu and placed our drink orders. When the waiter returned we asked... More

Food was very tasty overall. Although I am a notoriously picky eater, I did enjoy it. I had the fajitas, to which I asked for tomatoes. Sides were corn and more (rice and black beans). Cuban bread was served at no cost to our table.

We had lunch in the Tropico Restaurant at the beginning of our week long vacation in Sunny Isles. The food was great along with the atmosphere in the restaurant. The servers were very pleasant and willing to prepare anything we wanted even if not on the menu.

This was my first trip or Miami, so the hotel recommend EL Tropico for a Cuban meal as the best in the area, and it was within walking distance. We were a little taken back by the restaurant in the strip plaza look, but were pleasantly surprised by the great meal we all enjoyed. Other than the plain atmosphere, the... More
