Ok

Spent a night at the hotel as working in the area. Room huge , clean and has everything you may need. Staff seem ok , friendly enough. TV reception terrible so don't get excited about watching it ! It's also tiny. Go out and explore Welshpool, it's a lovely little town.

We had gone out to buy a tree at the Dingle. Saw the Royal Oak from the street as we drove through thought "that looks a bit dreary, was it open"; drove around the local countryside for a while but gave in and went back to it. Good start was the car parking, then the good choice (not excellent but... More

The staff werer great but I was threatened by a drunk Irish man who was given my room No when I complained to security about the noise from under 17 ys rugby team that went on till 04.40 am above our room which resulted in a confrontation between us both

Had a great three course Sunday lunch yesterday! Food was very tasty and staff wet attentive! It was a shame we had to wait a little bit longer for our puddings, but the wait was worth it! Haven't been to the Royal Oak before for food but I certainly won't hesitate to come again! Thank you

Popped in for a coffee early Sunday morning and it hit the spot! Nice comfy sofas and very friendly staff. Would recommend as a place to meet friends or catch up for a quick chat :)

This pub is big but is separated into 3 different rooms so it still has a cosy feel. The bar has a good selection of real ales, and there's also a costa in there if you want a decent coffee. It's the kind of pub you can take anyone, because it's smart and clean, and kid friendly too. Both times... More

We had a very pleasant lunch here and would come again, but the management needs to take a fresh look at some aspects. These may seem like niggles but why not put them right? As first time visitors, we sat in the dining room for quite a long time wondering whether someone would come to welcome us and take an... More

Very friendly staff, nothing is to much trouble. The food and cocktails are good here, or you could sit and relax with a hot chocolate or cup of tea. They have got their own car park which is very useful.

We came here after failing to get food anywhere else and we are so glad we did! Good menu, gf options clearly marked, staff helpful and knew what they were going. I had chicken in cheese and leek sauce with saute potatoes and perfectly cooked veg. Very nice indeed. At £13.00 was good. There was a choice of gf sarnies... More
